Familiarity: I've used it several times

Sure, this thing isn't going to beat much more expensive options. But at it's price, the 55L bag seems like an awesome purchase. I've beat it in a bit and it doesn't seem to care. Seams are super burly and the welded assembly has really proven istelf on my other gear, we'll see how it does here. After about 8 uses, the yellow is taking on a nice beat in "sage of the mountain look" that really looks good.

This bag has kept all of my gear try after 2 swims, and a half hour test in the lake. (filled it up with some towels and tied a few bricks onto it. Passed with flying colors.

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

So I'd be the first to admit I'm a huge fan of Stoic stuff. Most of my gear is Stoic purchased from SAC, and I credit its low price and awesomeness with really building my interests in trying new activities and pushing my limits. This is an incredible shell. It is my go to jacket for anything other than a winter storm (bombshell takes over here) and stays in my backpack 24/7. At first I was worried about durability, as the jacket is so light, but going on a year of everyday wear from the trails to the city and on the wall, and it still looks new. I couldn't be happier. Throwing it in the dryer for 15 mins seems to bring back the DWR to about 90% and even when dirty, this jacket never leaks. Breathability is incredible, and thanks to the pit zips, I've never had an issue. Used some of my savings on Stoic products to buy an Arcteryx Atom LT that comes with me in the spring and fall. Togheter I feel unstoppable in rain and wind, even a bit of snow. Every detail on this jackit is really well put together, from the slight taper on the cuffs to the lining inside the collar. I'd buy another in a heartbeat for $80, just to have one as a backup in case they're ever discontinued. Fits great with a harness on, and the hood is cut just right. BC knocked it out of the park on this one.

These shorts are awesome. Bough on a tipsy whim a few weeks back after a hot day, and wasn't sure what to expect. Well now that I've worn them a few times, they're awesome. I don't know what I did before learning about these newer, high tech fabrics.

Holding a pair of these shorts in your hand seems to spark disbeleif. These things are impossibly light, yet somehow super durable. I've been on hikes through brush, without a single snag. Even after long days setting routes in a climbing harness, my legs still felt sweat free and comfortable. The fabric doesn't' breathe as much as I would have initially thought, however, the incredible light weight of these more than makes up for it. Almost feels like I'm wearing nothing.

fyi, grab a pair of briefs with these. boxers are a no go, as the light material doesn't hide much if you're floppin' around.

Accidentally spilled some water on them after a quick break the other day, yet they were dry in 5 mins or less. Awesome.

I ordered this jacket after reading some other great reviews, and doing research on many of the different fabrics available these days. Although I'm not crazy about the super bright yellow, the rest of the jacket more than makes up for it.

My first test of this jacket was the mesas and canyons of Moab, where the weather changes fast, and the winds can get really strong. Needless to say, I was completely blown away by how well it performed. This was my first piece of technical gear, and I made the decision on the spot never to waste $$ on inferior jackets/shells for the rest of my life. This thing repelled hail, snow and rain, all blowing in excess of 50mph while standing up to jagged brush and rocks (we were building new trails with the BLM) without a single issue. The bright yellow did show dirt pretty well, and I've had trouble getting it clean even with techwash, however things did accumulate over a month to a level where I didn't expect it to come clean.

All in all, I've come to use this as my go-to jacket for everything. Holds up incredibly well to branches etc, even when bombing down MTB trails. Breathes very well, an with the pit zips even more cooling is possible, although I never quite needed it.

Make no mistake, despite being advertised as a ski/snowboard jacket, this thing excels at nearly everything.

OHHHH Man. Got these in this week while looking for something durable and comfy to wear as a full season boot. These must be the top of the line from keen. Construction looks rock solid, including metal eyelets on top. Leather is nice and thick, and seems like it will really be in it for the long run. A bit stiff at first, but that's good. They broke in within 4-5 days of sold walking, and now I feel like I'm wearing slippers. Ankle support is excellent. I really love these, fit perfectly right out of the box. I'm just worried they might be to insulated come summertime.
