Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

If there was one pair of skis to take with me having no knowledge of what ski conditions may be I choose the Johnny C s. Good side cut for carving and wide enough for powder. These handle nearly every condition save the east coast boiler plate. Took these on a 7 day tour of Colorado and they worked on nearly everything with exceptional ease.

More than just a Park and Pipe ski

Took these to Squaw Valley last week. These skis took just about everything I threw at them. They are most definitely not just for the park but a great all mountain ski. Only when I pushed through the deep soft stuff off KT-22 did I find myself wanting for a fatter ski with greater float but that is not the ski's fault. They held an edge very well on-piste and were smooth and stable at speed.
As for breaking them? Good luck. The top sheet will get scratched. Live with it. An unscratched ski only demonstrates a lack of use.

Good right out of the box...

Took these to Squaw Valley last week. First time out with them I took them up KT-22. Probably not the best idea to get a feel for them but they were perfect. Skied 3.5 days with them there and never once had problems. Very comfortable and warm. Held up well in downhill and park. With the ease of getting in and out and the two buckle system I could not ask for more.

This helmet was comfortable and I like the style. The fact that I was able to customize the padding inside was particularly nice. I can’t imagine needing anything else. I hope I never need to test its durability in a crash. I’ll let you all know if I survive should that ever happen. (No promises)

I've used these pants now for a few ski trips. I've found that the legs, down by the boots, have been sliced up by the skis I presume. There are half a dozen little slices on the inside of each leg at the boot level.

I used a different pair of pants all last season with no little cuts in the legs.

The pants do have the powder skirt snaps that match the jacket, which is a nice addition as is the zippers in the crotch. In addition, they are warm and waterproof. In short, they are nice for the gentle user.
