Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Fit: True to size

I really wanted to love this jacket. I used it for about a year while resort riding as well as splitboarding and winter hiking. The coconut material was awesome, really did breath amazingly well. I love the style and color, when I got it a year ago it was definitely a unique look on the mountain. However there were two things that I couldn't get over. 1) the sleeves were a bit short. They would cover your gloves when you had your hands at your sides, however when your arms were fully extended in front of you, the sleeve would come up past your wrist exposing your skin/underlayers to the elements. 2) The zipper never really broke in for me. It continued to stick due to the large teeth and was a pain to operate.

So Grippy

I got these specifically for a hike up Mt. Washington in mid December. They worked out perfect. They were easy to stow in my pack for the lower part of the hike. Then, at Hojo's they were easy to stretch over my hiking boots (even with gloves on). They made the hike up much easier with the added grip. As for the hike down, I probably would've hurt myself quite a bit if it wasn't for the added traction from the Mircospikes.
