Dunno why this thing is getting knocked in the reviews. I personally think its great, shopped around a lot of other brands but this was the best, most comfy soft shell vest I found. I'm usually not a huge fan of TNF and really think the brand has been going in the wrong direction for years, however this vest had everything I was looking for. I'm 6'1" and $1.75, got a L, generally just wear it around the office, town, & outdoor activities for layering or outer layer if weather permits. I think the outer material is quality, like the stretchiness of it, feel durable and the black won't show any junk that I may get on it.
I know a lot of reviews have been saying its not warm and not comfy, bad material, etc. 1. its a vest, its not a replacement for a warm jacket, merely just a supplement to one & 2. I think of the other vest I looked at, its the most comfy, has the best fit, & is made from the best material.
I would recommend this to anyone looking for a good soft shell vest. I think it looks great, fits fine, and will last for several years, very simple design, doesn't break the bank. I agree w/ all the other positive reviews, to the haters: should have went w/ down...
Keys are kinda weak, broke one pop'n out the plactic insert where the lock goes on the front fork device. However, replacements are $1, and since you only get 2, I just bought some extras just in case.
Really like that the same key works for all the locks in the pack...I have 2 TieRods, bought a 4-pack of locks, same key opens all 4 locks, means I only have to worry about one key for everything...
Also, going the Rocky Mount path is way less $$$ than Thule...
Just got my second mount for my truck. I have them bolted to a couple of 2x4s in the bed of my pick up that fit into grooves in my liner. I would recommend this to pl w/ this capability.
I think the important thing to note about this mount is that it stands up to weather like a champ! I bought one about 5 years ago, left it out in my truck all 5 years, through all sorts of weather, standing water, etc...no rust, no corrosion, works the same now as it did when I first got it. I had bought a SETTE mount of similar design at the same time...didnt last a month and is now replaced with another one of these...
HIGHLY recommend this mount...it will never let you down. Worth every penny...
Just got my second TieRod for my roadie...was happy w/ the 1st on I got for my mtn bike, thought I would see how I liked it before buying another. Easy to install, locks went in w/o any trouble, rear strap works for mtn and roadie wheels, I have a '11 Outback and they fit on there perfect...I would suggest this model for bars that aren't square, my Outback is kinda oval shaped, fits great. I think the only thing I don't like is the rear mount, I replaced those plastic wing nut things with some longer nuts I picked up @ Lowes...think they look better, plus it makes it so you need a wrench to get it off...
So, to sum things up...I would recommend this to anyone looking for a rack for non-square bars, easy install, works for all bikes (don't need the roadie attachment in the rear like Thule does), cool colors, cheaper than Thule racks...what else do ya need!
Kinda bought these things for fun cus they were cool colors, took them to the Red the other weekend and was pretty surprised at how well they work. Def easy to clip, wont spin or twist on ya, colors make them easy to fine when you need a draw for a tough clip. Would def take these over other cheaper draws out there...may even get some more.
I wear this thing just about everywhere, all the time. It fits great, its soft, warm, and just a great hoodie. I'm gonna be super bummed when it finally wears out on me...lets hope that doesn't happen. Also, I hope they come out with some more of these things down the road, I will fo sho be picking up another when they do. If you're a big boy I wouldn't wait a minute to snag up whats left of these things, you'll love it.
