Familiarity: I've used it several times

I've been pretty loyal to salomon boots over the last 20 years. Three pairs of malamutes, a pair of F2's, and one other that I can't remember the model name. I've tried other boots, but I come back to Salomon. They fit my narrow, high arch foot better than anything else.

These boots are very comfortable straight out of the box. The lacing system takes some getting used to, but it works. They are super light and built well. I expected to get at least 50 days out of them.

That over complicated lacing system everyone talks about? Well it isn't just cumbersome. It's fragile too! Less than 6 days on them, one pull and one crucial little plastic lever has broken. The boot is fine. All the tech is breaking. It's like buying a luxury car and having to take it to the shop all the time.

Unfortunately, I have to advise against buying these boots. Not worth the hassle. I'm back in my old malamutes while I try to figure out how to get these repaired.

Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Fit: True to size

I'm an Icebreaker junkie. Shirts, base layers, mid layers, boxers, they make great shit. This shirt is no exception. True to size, comfy loose-yet-slim fit. Not one of those "I have to show off my fabulous pecs constantly" shirts. The Bordeaux heather (purple) is a cool color. If you're on the fence, don't be. Get it!

Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
Fit: Runs large

Bought these in a size 34 regular in both the burnt olive green and the graphite gray. The green fit like a 36, the gray fit like a 33. I'm going to have to return both of them. I'm afraid that it's further proof that North Face isn't the brand that I grew up with. The quality and attention to detail just isn't there anymore.

Great short. Fits true to size, slightly stretchy fabric is very comfortable. I'm 6'0", 185lbs and wear a 34, 33 when I can get them. Can't stand shorts or pants that inhibit my movement (read: to tight for the boys).
I would definitely recommend these to a friend. My only complaint is that the picture on the BC site was very misleading. The eclipse color is actually a blue that is so dark it's black. Looks like a nice dark gray in the photo. I'm trading them in for a pair in the charcoal color.

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Fit: True to size

I have three pair of these and have worn them every single day since I got them a year ago. So soft and comfortable. From Texas summer heat to sub-zero Colorado mountain tops, nothing is better. Tried wearing a pair for 6 days straight once to test the merino. No stink!
I'm 6' 185lbs. Large is very comfortable. Not athletic-snug. Just a super-comfy pair of boxer-briefs. Great length too.

Just got these shorts in the mail. They look like great shorts. Almost everything I was hoping for except for one little thing: it's not a removable liner! You'd have to permanently cut the sewn loops just to get the chamois out! I have no idea how they can advertise this as a removable liner. By that logic, I could cut the liner out of some swim trunks and call them shorts.
Otherwise, the sizing is accurate, the quality seems good and the materials are nice. A little long for my taste. I'm 6'0" and they run over my knees, rubbing whenever I bend my legs. That makes them a less than ideal biking, hiking or lifestyle short, but that's a bit of personal preference.

This is by far the best sock i have ever worn. Incredibly comfortable, warm, regulates temperature perfectly, etc. My only complaint is with the construction of one of the footpads. While one sock works perfectly, the other wants to bunch up in the arch of my foot. Could just be me, could just be this pair. I have to say that they are so good I find myself doing whatever I canto make it work. That says a lot, right?
