Matthew's Bio

As a wildlife technician and an avid runner and hiker, I spend a ton of time in the great outdoors. I am especially demanding on all of my gear, usually testing (and often realizing) its limits.

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Fit: Runs small

These have been my go-to for chasing birds around in central Texas and western OK for the last 2 seasons. They provide superior breathability and freedom of movement than any pants I've ever worn. The only way these could be improved is by offering them in a 'brush pants' version. I would be willing to pay a LOT for that option, as these are somewhat underwhelming in the durability department, especially when blasting through brush for 40 hours a week for months on end.

Fit: True to size

Just received it - I'll be using this for running, but I haven't tested it out yet. The white is actually white as opposed to appearing space-blanket silver in the stock photo, although it's so thin it's almost transparent: I can see my nips through it! Seems to fit pretty good, although I question how well the hood will stand up to wind - it seems kind of big even for my huge dready head. Anyways, I'm only giving it 4 stars because I'm unsure how it performs; I'll make a valiant attempt to update this review after I get some use out of it. Happy trails everyone!

This drom is where it's at! I won't go backpacking without it. It's never leaked in my pack, and I trust it won't. The cap is ingenious for all purposes and the add-ons make its potential uses even more numerous. Thanks for another great product MSR

My first inflatable pad, I'm surprised how much abuse this thing can handle! It has endured regular use for almost 2 years without an issue. I'm not always able to use a tarp, sometimes placing the pad directly on rocky ground, and it's never sprung a leak. It also insulates pretty well- I'm comfortable (in my 0-degree bag) even when the temp drops down into the teens. Do yourself a favor and buy the stuffsack if you're buying this pad.
