Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Got the medium 72" version of this pad a few years ago on sale. Cannot be beat for weight/packed size, ease of use. But beware you need something underneath for anything but warm weather. I matched it up with the ultra light Gossamer Gear ThinLight Insulation Pad for a winning combo. and versatility. Also picked up the smaller Exped hand pump (not the disco pump) for flawless, quick inflation. I know it only takes a few minutes to inflate by mouth but after a full day of hiking I always felt breathless and faint after this task and was glad to add the few extra ounces for the pump. I'm 5'4" & 140 lbs. and do not hit the ground while sleeping on my side. It is relatively quiet compared to some really noisy air mats. When packed down I have never seen one smaller, literally disappears into your pack. SUPER Comfort! BEST MAT EVER!!!

Familiarity: I've used it several times

I've had a lot of lightweight mugs over the years and this is the holy grail! It's ultralight, strong, has sturdy folding handles, well fitting lid with slide drink opening, and keeps hot beverage toasty for a long time. I used it in campground and loved it but will also take backpacking in cold weather. Size is perfect for larger mug. Double wall really makes a difference in heat retention. I love all things titanium for camp cookware. But don't put it directly on cook flame. I find Stoic to be great brand of various outdoor products. Get this one quick at sale price. Don't waste your time/$ on cheaper. It will be worth it in the long run.

Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
Fit: True to size

I have a few Stoic products already and was really looking forward to this vest. It has so many great features but, like previous reviewers the armholes are too tight for any normal, average person. Only if your arms were twig-like could this be comfortable. After hiking, etc. the sweat from underarm would not dissipate either. Too bad, I love: longer length, compact, athletic fit, forest-agave color really nice, perfect zippers & side stretch panels. At 5'4" / 144 lbs. I take med. or lge. depending on fit and whether I'm layering and got this in med. which was pretty snug. I chose not to return for large because of armhole issue.

Have you looked at the kids packs in Osprey or Deuter? They make stellar packs for adults so their smaller packs I assume would also be great. Also look at the Deuter SL line made for women but might work out. Neither brand in the super light weight catagory though. I've had to order quite a few packs online and return until I found some that really fit - it was worth all the shipping costs to find.

Tough, lite material with good fit. Plenty of pockets and nice length. Not really any stretch though. Nice layer of soft material around inner waist with very thin stretch drawstring that you cannot feel and vanishes. I am 5'4" 140 lbs. and got the size 8. It is fitted and flattering. I will use these more for travel and short hikes instead of backpacking.

Definitely hits the mark for quality, light weight 50 liter pack. I had to return because fit all wrong for me. I need women's specific and torso adjustable to dial in the fit. No matter how many unisex packs I try it just doesn't work. But how I wish it did. This would be a keeper. Only one negative for me was no hydration pocket inside pack which is pretty standard.

Just got the shirt in and it's nice!! Athletic fit, good for movement, and flattering. I ordered a large so I have a little slack for undershirt. Sleeves are a little long but no problem. Neck is high for cold not scooped down. I'm looking forward to using in fall and winter hiking and cross country skiing. I already have a wool t-shirt (of another brand) so I'm expecting the same great properties. Fantastic for backpacking. These garment are how you transition to light and ultra light!! The non-stink factor is true also. I rarely use any synthetic short sleeved shirts in warm weather now. At this sale price don't wait - just order. Lisa from Maryland

I've talked to some thru hikers and am researching and buying gear for my daughter to start thru hiking AT soon. They all mostly wear sturdy trail runners that have a shank for underfoot protection and lots of mesh for breathability and fast drying. For your gear set think: lighter, thinner, smaller with everything! She has pack weight down to 25 - 30 lbs. No need for a bag under 10 to 15 degrees as the temps. don't go lower than that. Think of layering all clothes together for climate changes. Get titanium pot and homemade pop can alcohol stove. Look up ultra light camp sites for lots of info. and keep paring down. Most hikers only carry one set of clothes, warmer layers, raingear, and spare socks & undergarments. Everyone says gortex shoes too hot and don't dry fast enough. Happy trails - keep researching!

Comfortable right out of the box! I have wider feet and the fit was good. I replaced the insole with Superfeet to prep for backpacking and give more support. Just the right amount of support, flex,& sturdy sole in lighter shoe. Have done 3 weeks of trail walking and backpacked one weekend with no problems. After spraying two times cannot get them waterproofed - too much mesh. But cooler for feet and shoud dry quickly. Called manufacturer and it does have built in shank for underfoot protection. A great bargain for this sale price. Lisa in Maryland

Used these socks on packpacking trip this weekend and they were great. Soft and just the right amount of thickness and cushion for my shoe. I would consider this a light/medium sock. In 90 degree heat they dried easily on lunch break. NO BLISTERS even on rocky, steeper trail that I was not really ready for. I did not use a liner sock because there was not enough spare room in my shoe. I purchased the cream so ticks could be spotted easily. Lisa in Maryland

These shoes look like they live up to all the hype of British company Inov8. Toe cap has very sturdy material and sole looks good too. Super light weight but has underfoot plate protection. I only wish the pair I ordered would have fit. They were not a keeper for me, had to return. I have a wide foot. But if you have a normal width you'll be set. I recommend giving them a try! I've read many positive reviews on performance. Really good looking shoe too. Can only give 4 out of 5 stars since I did not use product.

Purchased this bag for my daughter (to upgrade gear for AT hike) and she raves about the stretchy comfort! A better nights sleep. Very light weight, high quality. Packs down smaller than any full size bag I've ever seen. True to temp. rating is rare also. She is a cold sleeper so will use bag in spring, fall, and summer also. Definitely one of the premium bag manufacturers out there. When you compare: weight, temp. ratings, compressed size and going ultralight this is one of the standouts! Worth the investment! Protect with silk or other liner when using, store always in loft bag. I would not use in unprotected ground area with out good tarp or tent as material looks as if it would snag easily.
