Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

The SFB has earned a reputation as a great 1 ski quiver ski, and I would agree with that, if you are a playful skier looking to hit every feature you can hunt out on the mountain.I am 150lbs and ski the 184, and It's one downfall is that its pretty sketchy at high speed, and is not particularly damp feeling, but I guess thats an obvious trade off for being super quick to turn, light & nimble feeling in pretty much all conditions. Super easy to ski switch on.I'd say that In anything other than biolerplate or 2+ foot of pow, the SFB is a great choice that will having you smiling from first chair to closing. Very happy with the recommend mount point of -2cm from true centre.

Familiarity: I've used it several times

I have the previous generation Dakine Cobra, with the zip closure, and my main gripe was that the zipper was difficult to zip up when wearing. This new design with the cuff closure solves that problem and in my view is a far better system. Overall I found the Cobra to take a while to soften, pack out and become supple, but once it did, feels great. Very durable so far - I've done probably 50 days in mine so far, and they still look like brand new. Gore-tex liner means your hands are always dry. Overall, the Cobra is a great package.

Whats a good binding to match with this Ski? Thinking of getting the Kung Fujas in a 179, was thinking about the Marker Griffon Schizo (I am 150lb) for some versatility, as K2 seem to recommend this binding with the Schizofrantic inserts the ski has. I can't find them on backcountry.com though? Wondering what other bindings you do stock woudl be a good match?

Hi Seth,

Just trying to get an idea of the fit/baggyness of this jacket. Can you tell me what size jacket are you wearing in "the ordinary Skier" movie? I'm very similar in height/weight to you, 155 lbs, 5'9", 33" waist and 40" chest. Based on the sizing chart I was thinking Medium, but maybe bordering on a large, would be good to have a visual perspective though. Thanks heaps!
