I bought this jacket in amaranth, and just returned to buy another in the ozonic green. I love this jacket; it fits true to size (more of a regular fit than a slim fit, though, like a light-jacket or sweater rather than long-underwear; go down one size if you want a slim fit). I typically wear an 8 in Patagonia, and the medium is good, I can wear long underwear or t-shirt underneath. The seaming is flattering for us smaller-chested women (A-B) (I have heard complaints, though, that the seam is uncomfortable if you are larger chested).

I like these leggings; as other reviewers have mentioned they are slightly lower cut than some, but not too low, and the fabric is quite soft (and not scratchy). I am a somewhat curvey size 8, and I found that the size medium fit well in the hips but was just slightly too big in the waist (but not annoying enough to return). I bought a couple pairs of these, in both purple and black. The black pair is slightly smaller then the purple, especially noticeable in the leg circumference (much snugger fit on my legs). I don't know if this is true for all black pairs, or if it is just a QC issue.

The fit is similar (same back yoke, etc.) but I did not find them to be exactly the same. I have two pairs of the alpine guide pants, and I love them. I bought a pair of these, hoping they would fit the same, but they did not. The inseam on these pants is longer by an inch or two, and the rise is also at least an inch taller (for the same size of pants). At 5'4", the softshell pants were too tall, both in rise and inseam, for me, and I had to return them. Hope this was helpful.

I really liked the sizing (moderately relaxed fit) and fabric weight, it functions perfectly as a wind-resistant sweater-type layer. If it had handwarmer pockets (and maybe a hood) it would be perfect. However, I am disappointed in the color choices. I tried the chartreuse first (hoping it wasn't as bright as in the picture), but just couldn't get past the acid green neon color. I returned it and ordered a black one, but I'm still deciding whether to keep or return it, in hopes of better color choices next season (grey? brown? maybe a more subtle blue or green?)

They are somewhat high-waisted. I am 5'4", and they definitely come to my natural waist (although not up into my ribcage, as some high-waisted pants can). Personally I find this waist height more comfortable for winter camping/hiking pants. I love mine, I have the brown and just ordered another pair in black, they're very comfortable. (I wear either a 6 or an 8 in Patagonia depending on the style, and I went with the 8 in these so I can wear my long underwear comfortably underneath.)
