Initially I bought this because I wanted something with a cowl neck so I could pretend I was a ninja. I was scrolling through the site and happened upon this dress and it was on sale! I own several pieces from mountain hardware and really like the quality of the brand. So I went for it.
I really like the dress. Light weight, easily packable, and looks really good. The solid color and minimal branding make it acceptable for the campfire or a nice dinner. I've done both. Most importantly it has pockets! And they are good pockets. So little of women's clothing has pockets I was actually excited. The are cut to be pretty invisible so you still have a clean line. I wish the collar was a little looser but it still sits nice.
As far as fit, I ordered a size up because I was on the boarder and I lift heavy which gives me bigger arms. It fits well with a little extra room for s'mores or the holidays.

I bought this because where I live the style of dystopian fashion is very in. Think hunger games or the 100. I like that it has a unique cut and the unfinished hems make it look pretty bad ass. I also really like the huge neck type of sweater so that 1) I don't feel like I'm choking and 2) it has a slimming effect. I bought it to pair with leggings or skinny jeans and boots. It appears of good quality so I'll probably keep it for a long time.

Hey I was wondering if anyone knows how these compare to other merrell barefoots as far as trail running is concerned? I've never had barefoot shoes before. Because I never really wear shoes anyway but I thought these might be a good compromise to me leaving muddy footprints all over the house. I'm just not sure which version would be best in the mountains.
