Hey I was wondering if anyone knows how these compare to other merrell barefoots as far as trail running is concerned? I've never had barefoot shoes before. Because I never really wear shoes anyway but I thought these might be a good compromise to me leaving muddy footprints all over the house. I'm just not sure which version would be best in the mountains.

So when test my gear I test it hard (I've destroyed a lot of gear from a lot of companies over the years) So I took this jacket to Mammoth for what was supposed to be a Spring Trip to the Sierras. Of-course the Mammoth wind and weather that changes by the hour kicked in and it ended up dumping for two days in a row. This was the only jacket I had with me and I was pleasantly surprised by it actually being as water proof as advertised. It also withstood the lift closing winds that kicked up later in the day. The hidden mitts I never rode with because I use actual gloves but they were great around town and walking to the hot tub, they give you one less thing to loose while on an adventure. Also the jacket is beer shower proof inside and out, just in case. The only drawback can be wind going into the thumb holes at your wrists but it's for spring so its not that bad.
