Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Fit: True to size

I'm a big fan of Pearl Izumi but I wouldn't recommend this shirt. It's not bad but its not near as warm as some other base layers that I already have. I was looking to avoid having to wear a jacket on winding days but this doesn't do the trick. The bottom line is its an ok base layer, but if its cold and windy your going to need to wear something over it. The quality of construction is excellent. I will continue to use it a lot but when it wears out, I try a different product.

They are not bad but when I'm going on really long rides, I wear my Pearl Izumi Pro shorts. They just aren't as comfortable and the padding isn't as good. The draw string slips back through the hole and is a total pain so I end up not even using it.

I've waited for a good storm to wear this jacket in order to give it a true review. This coat does everything they say it does and feels great. It's waterproof and completely blocks the wind, and I'm talking sustained winds of 45 mph with gusts even higher. I really like how light weight it is. I did have a good mid layer under it and stayed very warm. The North Face life time warranty is awesome.

I wore these gloves recently on a very cold wet snow day, I was very impressed how dry my hands stayed. I expected to have to do what I’ve done on similar days in the past, which is, change gloves half way through the day. But I did not have to do that with these gloves. They are very warm. In fact, don’t plan on wearing them in the spring, your hands will be smoking hot. The reason I give them 4/5 stars is for the fit. I’ve gone through nearly a dozen gloves and I’ve always worn the same size (L). I wish I would have ordered these gloves in medium.

There is no way for me to scenically proof it, but I’m convinced when I wear CW-X Stabilyx Tights skiing, biking and running, I just feel much better. I will not run without them, I wear them skiing when I’m skiing consecutive days and I occasionally wear them biking. I’ve been running without them and my lower back and knees remind me never to do it again. I highly recommend them.

I have both the Phenom and Crowbar, and I must say the Phenom is much more comfortable and I like the way the strap unbuckles. The buckle in the strap makes it much easier to put on with my helmet. Both work well but the Phenom fits so well, you don't find yourself reaching up to adjust the goggle on your face. They are both good goggles so you can't go wrong either way.

Great Ski
5 5

If you like to ski fast, these skis are awesome. After you make that first turn, roll them on edge and they fill like you just shifted into a high speed gear. They are very fun and extremely stable. I’ve been skiing for 25 years, and these are by far the best ski I ever had. They have great edge hold on steeps and you can make small, median or wide turns with ease.

Over all I would recommend this helment. I it would be nice if you could unplug the wires for backing and traveling. It seems like the wires are going to caught on something without you relizing it and when you go to get the helmet, it going to pull them out. I have the L/XL and it fits more like a medium. Hard to wear even a tight beanie under it on very cold days. I like the fit, the volume control and the look. The goggle strap is easy to use even with gloves on.
