So. My husband got the 10'2 wide at the end of last summer. He got it at a store in Colorado, he was concerned about it "floating him" as he is just a tad over 200lbs. At first he thought that it was not stiff enough, then he did some research and realized he was only half inflating it. Once we got the pressure right it has been amazing, but quickly myself and the kids started paddling the SHUBU, and all fell in love with it. The kids have been jumping off the dock and landing on the board like it was a skateboard. We have pretty much taken over the 10'2, so I think I may order the new 9'2 to have something a little shorter.

Great shoe, I use these to walk my dogs, and I use the Redfeather race shoes when I want to go fast. A friend of mine used to work at the old factory in Leadville, CO. They are no longer made in Colorado, but still in the USA.. Easy to use binding. The "V" tail is so much easier to walk in, than the bulky round tailed ones.

This is exactly why I love Merrell products. I was recently looking for a backpacking boot, for a trip to the Tetons. We hike fast and cover a lot of miles every day. Most backpacking boots for women are just two heavy for my little legs. This boot seems like the best of both worlds, has a lot of cushion, but also enough support to carry a heavy pack over aggressive terrain.

I do not have a water ski sized foot as you do, but for a boot of this nature you will not see any problems jumping up to the 14. A little extra toe room is a good thing when Hiking down hill/ adding thicker socks in the cold. You are right, nobody really makes a 13.5. This is a great boot, and I would suggest you give it a whirl.

I have three pairs of the old encore Chills, I was worried when they changed the name, i thought maybe they changed the shoe. It looks like they changed a few things, they feel lighter, but just as soft and cozy as my old ones. I wear these every day to run out and get coffee in the morning. Easy to slip on, and they grip well on the ice too.
