Familiarity: I've used it several times

Ahh, i baught the apex a year ago, and just like with other cheap tents the water proofing coating only lasts after the first rain, used it numerous times, and everytime i woke up soaked from condensation even tho i have all mesh open and vents open.. I now have upgraded to the Marmot aura and its amazing and bombproof. But for the price on the apex, expesially on sale.. This is a decent amature tent. gets 2 stars for that

Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I just used this bag for the first time in temps at 20 degrees and i just had a fleece on underneath, i had a stretch of 9 hours of sleep and for you backpackers you know thats a good stretch. i was perfectly warm all night and did have the thermarest pro as my pad. Packs decently small, prolly could go way smaller with a compression sack but its nice, definatly my go to bag for that 10-40 degree range.

ya dude for sure, just make sure you go a size up or 2 depending on layers and how you like your fit, if you like a baggy fit go 2 up, athletic 1 size up. It has waist draw cords so when your boarding tighten it up and no snow should get in. Other than that, i used this shell on a backpacking trip in the porcupine mountains and it snowed, iced, rained and nothing touched me, it also fits down to a nalgene size 32 oz bottle. so if the weather gets bad on the slopes just whip it out and you'll be fine, no snow should get it. Hope this helped!

hey. My friend and i are wanting to upgrade our old tent, and im wondering how the breathability is with this tent, like our old one even if it wasnt raining that night it would be raining in the tent cause of condensation, another question is, some people say this tent is a bit bulky and heavy, is that true? any help would be awesome !

i just baught the stash shell and it a really nice! im 5/10 170lbs and a medium is ideal cause i throw a fleece under it when it gets a bit colder, but its awesome in the rain and packs super small, breaths well and if you'll be on the trail and it gets chilly, this is gunna do it for you, i even plan on using this as a snowshell in the winter for snowboarding, so its great all around
