Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
Fit: True to size
Height: 6' 2"
Weight: 185 lbs
Size Purchased: Large

Writing this review to mostly share my thoughts on the fit. I am 6'2" around 185lbs and a fairly trim build. I wear slim fit shirts, typically a 40L suit jacket, and like things to have a tailored look.

The quality and the technical aspects on this coat are great, but the fit was not for me. Sleeve length was perfect and it fit well for me in the chest and shoulders. The only issue for me was the fact it was not tailored at all. It pretty much goes straight down from the arm pits to the hem with no tapering.

Returned it, because for that price I want the perfect coat, but if your style or build is different than mine, you may love it

Well, was initially very happy with the jacket. Looks great, good fit, gore tex, strategic insulationetc. BUT...

the powder cuffs don't work nearly as well as the old design and even worse, i got a tear in the elbow on my third time out. I question the durability of the material as I have never had something like that happen on my 686 jackets.

Also, disappointed by Burton's customer service response. Was told it would not be covered under warranty (ok) but was given no other help or suggestions on what to do.

Luckily found out about Mcnett's gore-tex patches and Rainy Pass Repair other wise I would be out $380 for a 3 use jacket.
