Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Fit: True to size

For the amazing amount of warmth that this thing delivers, I'd grab one if I were you. When the weather turns real bad, you will get glad you had one. It also surprisingly repels rain to an extent.

I actually wear mine quite a bit biking to work in the winter. Keeps your face nice and warm and intimidates local shop keepers.

I'd have to agree with the "nice looking plastic bag" comment. Except its also not waterproof. Basically, I'm not sure what you would actually want it for. For the price, go buy a rubberized rain coat (waterproof) or six and a cotton hoody. You'll be better off (joking, but only slightly). I've tried it in every condition that it could be used for and not found it worthwhile to pack, ever.

I got mine as a replacement for the Mountain Hardwear Transition T (discontinued). That jacket was worth its weight in gold. After 4 years of wearing on long trad routes, biking to work, and trail runs, it never let me down. I wish they would bring that back and get rid of this new version.

One star because if you do buy it, at least its lightweight.

They don't make it anymore! And I'm kicking myself for not having bought 3 when I had the chance. Mt Hardware's new version of this is thinner, less breathable and more water resistant. Not what I need - doesn't breathe enough for running or cycling

Any suggestions on something that is similar to this jacket? Mt Hardware or otherwise
