Familiarity: I've used it several times

This tent is great. This tent is large enough for three people, but is a great size for two people plus some gear. One person setup is easy, the ends of the poles are color coded, the trickiest part would be getting it into the bag nicely folded, but if that doesn't matter to you, packing it is super easy. One suggestion is to have something to pound the stakes in.

Great for many reasons. Powerful light, uses common batteries, and useful features.
It'll light up anything more than you need, and is still bright in the dim mode.
The use of common AA batteries is a great appeal, especially if you use rechargeable batteries.
The modes are also great for easy use. one button for power, one to switch modes. Easy to figure out in the dark (where you'll most likely use it).

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I live in Minnesota, and these boots have been great for keeping my feet warm. The pull string on the top is perfect for keeping the snow out, even though it's probably not even needed since the boots go up to my knees. The buckles are something that I had searched for because they are much easier for getting them on and off, especially when the fingers get cold. They are a little bulky for walking on the sidewalk, or the first snow, but if you plan on finding your own way in the winter, then you're going to want these boots.
