Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This is my second ultra dream, the first one was a 158 and was great but with the long tip/tail and short sidecut it feels like a much smaller board so my next one was a 161. For me this board is all about the twin- BC shaping. It allows you to size up for more stability and float while keeping the side cut short and responsive. This board rips in pow and choppy pow, especially the heavier stuff and wind buff. I even prefer this board in the late spring when the slush gets deep. Definitely not great on icy or hard pack days. I have another board for that.

Familiarity: I've used it several times

These are pretty bulky but if you want real protection I highly recommend them. The forearm strap does not stretch and will not allow the pad to slide up you arm as it slides through dirt and gravel (which i've done). They also stay put really well while riding. I can't beleive this is the only pad on the market w a non-stretch strap on the forearm, seems like a no brainer.

Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

Only tried this on. Dark pine is GREEN(bay packers colors) even tho it looks blue. Fit is great, I'm 6' 170 and the large is nice and long and not too baggy. Insulation in back panels and front panels only but still a bit too much for me, I prefer a shell.
Those chest zips are not pockets but vents and they only open about a cm...? i'd prefer pit zips and chest pockets.
Also has a zipper on the pow skirt for pant connect.
