Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

It's a probe... pretty straight forward. Practiced with it a few times, and seems like it will hold up well. I would definitely recommend getting the 300 cm if you ski in areas that have a deep snowpack. It's amazing how quick you can burry to the handle when you're doing your snowpack analysis in the PNW and other areas that get a lot of snow. A great deal at Backcountry.com now - as inexpensive as any 'economy' short probe.

Really like the quality and craftsmanship - on par with other Marmot gear I've gotten. I usually wear an XL, and I recently purchased 3 similar shirts from 3 different manufacturers. This is the only one that fit small - tight in arms and across the back. Seems to be more of a slim fit than regular fit. This is disappointing since it is my favorite of the 3, except too tight. Highly recommend if you can get thei fit right.

It's a decent T-shirt, soft and comfortable from the start, looks like it will last a long time. Only problem... why do they need to put 7 tags on the back of the collar ? Yes, 7 ! Very uncomfortable if you don't remove the tags and there's always the possibility of ripping the seam when you pull of the tags.
