Familiarity: I've used it several times

I've been using the gloves for long rides in alpine terrain as well as lower elevation rides in the woods. They breathe really well and perform well in the heat. The hand padding is very slim, but seems to work just fine. I've got the small and they fit my small hands incredibly well. No gaps or extra fabric.

They "work" in the sense that they wick moisture and dry quickly. They also ride up my business and give me a wedgie. In the past I've purchased the light weight brief and I thought these were actually the same. They are not. The cut is much higher up the leg on the sides. They aren't quite worth returning, but I won't be buying them again.

I think this may be the best rock rope on the market. My buddies and I have dubbed it the Anaconda because of it's green color and pattern. The pattern makes the half-way mark 100% clear. The easy, flexible handle of this rope makes it feel like a 9.8mm, while protecting and lasting as a 10.1 mm should. Is it more expensive? Yes. If you don't care about having the perfect piece of gear for your pursuits...fine. Get a cheaper rope. I did that in the past and I still climbed. I just didn't enjoy it as much as I do now.

The weight of this is perfect for running in 32 - 45 deg weather, or going uphill in the backcountry in cold weather. Wool is more absorbent than ploy, so expect the sweat to wick a little less effectively. That said, it's also not made from oil - recycled plastic or not. Plus, it doesn't smell at all. I'm 5'7" and 140 lbs and I feel like this shirt is just a little on the big side. An XS might have been a better choice.

The shoe performs well for me. Good on trail running. When it got wet, it didn't keep my feet quite as dry as I would have liked. I live in Seattle, so we get a lot of rain. It's very stable and rugged. I wore my last pair in India a lot while traveling and they took a beating and still looked good / lasted a long time. They aren't great for climbing approaches as I find the friction isn't as good as some other climbing-specific approach shoes.
