I was on a 8 day backpacking trip through Yosemite and because of the heaving snow fall that year we spent 5 of it on snow. It snowed and rained on us the whole time and only on the last day did my boots start to soak through. Everyone in the group had different boots and the grip was as good or better. The only downfall to the boots are that they wear out quickly. Mine lasted two seasons but I put 160 trail and off trail miles on them so I guess that's not bad. I will take the wear out factor over breaking in boots for 6 weeks. I'm buying my second pair and have used about every brand of boot over the years.

I think you would be hard to find a better value when it comes to outdoor glasses. I used them on a very sunny day with full snow cover and was very happy with them. They did a great job of blocking transient sun reflections. I would recommend them to anyone unless you really just want to buy something really expensive.
