Familiarity: I've used it several times
I've used both the Road Glove and the Trail Glove. I find the Road Glove has a noticeably narrower toe box than the Trail Glove, which is a drawback for me since "barefoot" running (or walking for that matter) should allow your forefoot and toes to splay out naturally while you are moving. The shoes fit quite snugly around the heel and up to the midfoot. However, the molded arch is quite noticeable, and for me this limits the true "barefootness" of these shoes. In fact, when simply standing upright, the shoe, while placing you back on your heels, seems to allow your toes to only lightly contact the ground. I don't notice this while running, of course, but standing it makes for a rather odd feeling. While running, the toe box is, for me, a bit too constricting. I personally prefer the toe box of the Trail Glove, which is definitely wider. To sum them up I wouldn't actually label these as "barefoot" shoes, but instead "zero drop near-minimalist" shoes.
