no. mine is an older model, but there is not pocket stuff sack.
Very tough pack. I am a MHW whore though so my opinion is biased. It has never failed me in a good storm. My laptop stays dry and when you feel the material it is made out of you will understand.
Does the hood tuck into the collar?
keeps feet dry and keeps them smelling fresh. can't beat that for $0.01!! BC.com is the best!!
i wear a 9.5 will a 9 stretch like the boot?
I have worn these around the house and not yet around the campfire as intended but they are comfy as can be. I wear a 9.5 in sneakers, but a 9 is a bit roomy. I was expecting a tight feeling for the first few days but it is rather comfortable. I don't know if this is incorrect fitting, but I will keep em. I am sure i could have purchased an 8 though....mayybe.
this will keep me warm in low temps, but i am most happy w/ the fit and feel of the jacket. very solid. This layers perfectly w/ my MHW Dragon softshell like gme27...said below. I can't wait to hit the BC. Glad i returned my previous synthetic for this one.
ps i got the black and it does not look like a trash bag. very good looking piece
Thanks for the suggestion. While chatting w/ a gear guru on BC I changed my mind and purchased the MHW compressor for my mid layer. If this does not work I may return it and try your combination Cheers!
Does this model really have a hood? The Description says there is a hood...i bought this w/ the idea it has no hood.
Sweet! I just picked up a pair of these socks for $0.01! Thank You BC for the coupon! Review on the way...
Anybody have any experience layering this piece with a softshell? I have the MHW Dragon and I just ordered this. Just wondering if they will layer well. Both pieces are a size large. Cheers.
I wear a 9.5 naturally. Does this boot come in half sizes? Should I just size up to 10? Looking for something to rock around the campfire at night. I wonder if buying a 9 would be fine since there will be some stretch and settling of the inside.
apparently it is wise to size down w/ sheepskin boots. i have ordered the 9.
Pretty close fit between the two. GOtta love stepping up from the Defys to the pontas. I have the lace ups but i am considering getting a pair of the velcros
...for the rain. bought the day it started raining and haven't looked back. awesome breathability and stretch. zweld is serious stuff. don't think i will have to worry about any wind. kind of expensive, but well worth it. I am 5'10" 165lbs athletic build and a large fits perfect. i can layer my synthetic down easily. i think the one here is last seasons because the chest pocket on my Dragon has the logo and the name embroidered on it. that is probably the only difference.
i recently picked up the MHW Dragon softshell. I am wondering if this will make a good fit over the Phantom. I want to use it to protect the Phantom from any stray embers while sitting around the campfire lol. I currently own the millet belay device jacket and it is a little too big to go under the Dragon.
it's the perfect tent lantern because of the dual hook system on top. you can hang it from a free loop inside. very bright and very compact.
the description says belay slave, but in what condition because this sweater is super thin. i expected a little more from MHW. other than that the waistband was super loose and didn't even form to my body. it's like my sweater was trying to avoid my body. i had to send it back. i will stick to the MHW performance gear.
they weren't joking about this being light! big enough to eat cereal/soup and it wakes you up by filling up w/ a ton of coffee! I have also used this on top of a proprane burner and it worked well. no discoloring or warping. this cup is my new camping companion. love the little mesh sack that it comes in too, perfect for traveling so that it will not get damaged in your pack or if you want to combine other things w/ it for packing.
Just came back from Bishop trip and it just happened to be what the locals call "January weather" the low was 9 degrees. Crazy arctic winds were blowing and I felt fine. Jacket worked well. Didn't do any belaying which didn't matter because it does not have the belay pass thru pocket. Bummer cuz it was the selling point for me. That is the only thing that is making me consider returning it and trying maybe a high down fill perhaps. This jacket works well in 30-40 degrees as an outer layer though. Just thought i was getting the belay aspect.
nothing! Get one. You won't regret it....got one? Get another...boycott commercial plastic bottles, reuse.
