Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Swung for the fence and went with the Pure version. Took a few days to get used too. The feedback and feel is a LOT different than what you get from a similar sized ski with some weight behind it. I would say the performance benefits of the Pure construction are subtle but you will definitely fell a lot less fatigued at the end of the day. Better in all snow conditions than everything else I have tried in its category with exceptional hard snow/groomer skills.

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

If I could only keep one ski this would be it. Rails groomers, floats like a boat, and steam rolls crud. This is my second pair. The first generation version I had sometimes got a little nervous in variable snow. Latest versions have some tweaks to the sidecut and profile that delivered excellent stability in variable snow and pointing it down the fall-line yet maintained the skis intuitive quick turning ability.

On my third pair. Hands down my favorite powder ski of all time. 6"+ and this is my go to ski. Absolutely murders every type of soft snow conditions you could imagine. Visually they are very intimidating but are extremely easy to ski, i.e., not an expert only ski. The latest design enhancements improves the skis hard snow performance. Cat tracks and stretches of groomed snow are now a no brainer.

Purchased these last year to complement the Chemical pants that I have owned for a few years. Fit is a little looser and baggier than the Chemical pant but not over the top. Cargo pockets instead of the Cordura reinforced knees on the Chemical. Almost identical main fabric, zippers, details, etc. of the Chemical. Sick pant and so far they are holding up as well as the Chemical pants that I own that have proven to be indestructable. Killer price as well.

I purchased a pair of these in '07 and they will not die! I have absolutely beaten the snot out of them and they simply will not fail. Fit is between relaxed and baggy. Comfortable to walk or skin in and ski in. They feel like a pair of old broken in Levis. Couple of visible scars from close encounters with tree branches but no punctures or tears. Zippers are beefy and all intact and working. Venting is massive. No webbing in the venting so you can get a brace on and off without having to drop your pants to your ankles.
