Hi all,
I need a waterproof bag to go over my small camera bag, then the whole thing will go in my backpack. Will this fit the bill? I'm a little leery of putting my expensive camera in a lightweight, breathable bag. Can I expect it to be fully waterproof? In a downpour? Or is there a better option?. Thanks

I absolutely love this pack. I use it for winter hiking and have probably taken it out 30 to 40 times. I find it to be the perfect size for winter day trips when you need more clothes and extras than you would in the summer. First off, the pack is very ridgid and holds its shape, and the material seems to be very tough. It is full of features including a removable hip belt, many pockets and straps, and a main compartment that is divided in two. All of this makes for easy organization. The straps on the back are very easy to use for attaching snowshoes, though I have not used them for attaching skis or a snowboard so I can't comment on that. I like the fact that the main compartment opens from the side of the pack that touches your back. This way I can drop the bag on the snow or dirt, take stuff in or out, then put the bag back on all without getting any dirt or snow on the side of the bag that goes on my back. This zipper configuration also makes it easy to get into the pack even when I have snowshoes straped on the outside. Only downside is that the pack is a bit heavy for its size at 4 pounds. Bottom line: this isn't the simplest pack out there but if you like pockets and features you'll probably like it.

Write your question here.I'm trying to understand the difference between these XA Pro 3D Ultra GTX and the XT Wings GTX, as they are pretty similar in price and weight. I'm looking to get something for outings involving 60% hiking, 20% trail running and 20% road running. Thanks
