Warm, stretchy, soft, and smooth: goes everywhere I go, from treks through the Sierras to hunting for Pow stashes on Granite Chief to multi-pitch climbs, and looks as beautiful as the day we met - no, I'm not describing the ultimate girlfriend, I'm talking about the Mountain Hardwear Beta Power shirt - the ultimate baselayer!
I've had one of these for years, and I take it literally everywhere. It's an older model, I'm not sure if it's quite the same as the one described here (mine has 11% Elastan, a zippered pocket on the side, and thumb holes on the sleeves). I can't even begin to describe how comfy this shirt is! I would give it 6 stars if I could! It's definitely worth the price!
I am 6'3", 180 lbs, 32 inch waist, 34 inseam.
The Large fit OK in the waist (had to tighten them down), and the length was good, but my lord were they baggy! I even tried the Mediums, which were only about an inch shorter, but were still incredibly baggy!
I had the Blue in L and the Hickory in M - I was so sad to have to return them, because it is such a splendid blue! My gf was not having any of it, however - they just looked terrible! Unless you are going for that baggy, park look.
I ended up upgrading to the Actery'x Stingray pants ($400), which have the (supposedly) more-breathable 3-layer Gore Tex.
