A low profile, comfortable helmet in warm or cold.
I get hot really easily when I ride, especially on the warm, wet day. Easy to use venting system with your gloves. Have never been cold with it.
The fit can be dialed in easily with gloves also with the dial in the back.
Also holds a mount very good for my VholdR helmet cam on the side just above the goggle strap

I think the Hestra gloves are great.
The Ski cross is comforatable, fairly warm. On the very cold days I won't be completely happy but everything else about these gloves make them worthwhile for everyday riding/skiing.
Using the leather balm makes these extremely waterproof. Ultra soft.If you are concerned about aesthetics, the color does bleed.
My first pair lasted about 90 days, second pair about 60 days before the thunb leather wore through, but I think that if from constantly ratcheting snowboard bindings. Now I just make I sure I have a small piece of duck tape on the thumb.

If you want the best check out the vertical cut freeride glove

Touring, nothing is better than one of these and a mountaineer's axe. I carry one of these and one of my regular touring poles everyday, including inbounds. How many times have you been in a situation where you just wished you had a little more grip....something to assist hiking/bootpacking.
Come late spring, booting up hardpack lines 2 of these are fantastic. Punch into icy slopes while you hold your poles normally.
As others have said, they don't collapse like a 3 piece touring pole but I've taken the bottom section of my 3 piece Komperdell poles and they fit in the upper section to give you a 3 piece collapsable pole which fits excellently for snowboard pack, otherwise the 2 piece stock is fairly long.

I've ridden the Cirro for the last 4 years. When they brought out the double BOA 3 years ago it improved it drastically.
This is the stiffest softboot I can find. Comforatable.....a week to pack out the toes, and they hold their stiffness for about 40 days of hard riding. I've tried the Malamutes form Salomon and DriverX's from Burton but the BOA means you can really keep em stiff. I where them tight, ream them extra tight for when I'm strapped in and then just pop the knob when I get to a chair or change to touring mode. When you tighten them the tongue is just BOA cable and 3 stiff plastic pieces.....far stiffer than laces.
They are far from perfect though......the lace on the upper BOA may be longer than it needs to be and if you ream them extra tight the BOA may get stuck, or in my most recent case, tighten the coiler so much lace that it popped the housing right off.
I'm sending this pair back, getting another, and replacing the BOA laces with a smaller length one I have on warranty from BOA. For the average user I don't think this will be a problem but be aware.. I love them I just wish the BOA was more dureable
