Familiarity: I've used it several times
Fit: True to size

Used these for two weeks while hiking/camping in the deserts, caves, and mountains of the southwest and they performed great in every condition. I originally bought them mostly for the 40 UPF rating (which did a fantastic job protecting my legs from the desert sun) but found myself wearing them just about all the time. Comfortable, stretchy, pockets work great, fit is great, and they even still smell good, something I can't say for most of my other gear.

These are sweet ski poles that will double as hiking poles for me in the summer. Stiff, lightweight, I don't have any concerns about them breaking. A few scrapes around the bottom from skiing but I think thats to be expected with the type of high gloss outer coating it has. Grip and wrist strap are contoured nicely. No problems with the basket falling off here. I'm 5'8" and got the 120s.

Awesome boot!

Skied these for a week on my Bent Chetlers and loved them. Super comfortable, super warm, and the middle buckle really keeps you locked in on landings. Easiest boot I've had for putting on and taking off, they really open up wide up top. Nice for walking in, especially if you just undo the middle buckle. Pretty lightweight. My favorite boot that I've had a chance to try out so far.

Badass!

I just took these bad boys out for the first time today at Snowshoe, which, as you might know, doesn't have much snow yet this season.. today was a bunch of ice and crud. The guys mounting the bindings (Marker Jester with 130mm brakes, definitely get the 130s) tried to scare me that these were only going to play well in deep pow, but that couldn't be further from the truth. These are the most fun skis I've ever had. I have such a great sense of confidence and stability on these skis, it's unreal. They definitely ski much shorter than they are (I got 183 cm, I'm 5'8" and 130lb, and while I love them, I wouldn't hesitate getting the 192). They play gently but charge hard. They're just a touch shady on big sheets of ice, but still tons of fun, if you don't mind your skis screaming like a jet engine going over it. And they are pretty lightweight to boot. And it doesn't hurt that EVERYONE has been checking out the graphics in line, asking what's up with these wide skis. I paired them with Nordica Ace of Spade boots and got even more looks in line. My new go-to all mountain ski.

These pants are sick! Super soft, super easy to move in, look great, I always wear small and the small fits me a bit tight but I have received compliments from it so that's ok heh. Had them out today on the slopes, with nothing underneath, at about 28 F with a decent wind, and was warm all day, and never too warm. Wind resistance is awesome. Haven't had a chance to test water resistance yet. These will probably become my goto pant for backpacking.

I saw a large in the store and liked it, but wasn't sure how well it would keep it's loft and so didn't buy it. I ended up buying a small from Backcountry. By itself this pillow goes flat as a pancake. But it wraps perfectly around my Exped Air pillow and makes for the most comfortable pillow setup I've ever had in the woods.

I just got back from exploring the balds of Roan Mountain, TN this past weekend where the temperatures dipped below -15C, and with the wind-chill at 6200 feet who knows how cold it was.. Like others have written, all I can say is that this is the first pair of gloves I've ever had to take OFF because they are too WARM.

The most amazing thing about these gloves is that your hands warm up from freezing cold to feeling like an oven within mere SECONDS of them being in the glove. Even if you have managed to get some snow inside the glove, say from being in a winter storm on a bald, it melts almost before you notice it's there.

The sizing guide gave me a perfect fit. Wrist bands are great while hiking to be able to take them off. One thing I noticed the first time I tried them driving is that the wrist guards hang low enough to potentially get around on the E brake, so just a word of caution.

I think these will be better suited for skiing than hiking just because they are too warm when doing any kind of activity.

Hats off to Hestra for a great product, I will definitely be buying from them next time!
