How are these fitting?
I know with Scarpas, we are looking at something like a 26.0 (equiv. to 41 euro or 8 men's US). Haven't used Garmont's yet.
Also, are the buckles entirerly plastic or is there metal running underneath the red plastic parts. I'm worried about breakage...
I have a pair of these and like them quite a bit, but I would like to get something similar, with the boot top length, that is warmer as well (preferably wool, but that isn't absolutely necessary).
This jacket has plenty of insulation, but I don't find it warm, because for me (thin), the cut is short and wide which makes it very drafty around the waist/torso. So I try to cinch down the shock-cord drawstring, and that cord failed. I returned mine.
I could use a good rundown of what has changed in this model (I'm on the blue T2's that were just prior to the T2X's), besides the color, buckles, and the liners. Flex/stiffness in bellows and cuff, lean range/adjustment, and also rocker (which T2's are notorious for).
I'm wondering how this might compare to other options (like the Marmot Power Stretch 3/4) for warmth...
I have the Mtn Hardwear sub-zero and really hate it - the fit is too short and wide in the body, making the thing really drafty...the cut of the arms is also not the greatest for mobility.
So I'm looking for a replacement, but want something more athletically cut...comparisons with the Phantom
