Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
Fit: Runs large

What ever happened to the semi-athletic MH cut I always knew and loved? This one must be from their short arm/long torso circus tent line. I'm 6'2 170.... MH has always fit me great in a L. The arms of this one were just barely long enough for me - just barely - but I felt like I could have fit two of me inside the body. Total circus tent and a really awkwardly long torso.

Clammy. These things breathe less than a dead guy. I highly recommend wearing a wicking liner as that is the only thing that gets me through the day without my fingers pruning up like I've been in the tub for 6hrs. I should also add that the description is wrong when it says there's a removable liner. There's no such thing. It's all sewn together in there. On the plus side the blue ones are pretty sharp looking. That's about all they've got going for them.

Lightweight fleece on the front and sides with your standard, wicking, mesh-like baselayer material on the back and arms. Order your regular size (or up) in this one - it fits tight and the arms are cut pretty short. At 6'2 170 the large just barely fits me and is quite snug. As a baselayer it's fine though, and frankly due to the odd combination of materials I would never wear this on its own anyway.

Edit: After half a season in mostly (very) snowy conditions I absolutely love this thing. Waterproofing is totally legit and the breathability is amazing. Sharp looking jacket too. At the SAC price this is quite simply the deal of the year. Hands down. It looks and feels (and so far performs) like jackets costing waaaaaaaay more money than this. You know the ones I'm talking about - I can't mention any names but you all know the grossly expensive jackets I'm talking about. This one is in their league in my opinion. Also, it seems like they've fixed the color online. The blue as it appears now is much closer to reality than before.

So far love this jacket because the build is excellent and it fits me pretty much perfect in a medium. 6'2-170. A perfect jacket for me is usually a med body with longish arms - that's what this is.

Pit zips are great. Big with dual zips.

Agree that the collar goes really high, but when I keep the hood down and zip it all the way up it forms an almost perfect seal around the base of my face/helmet. Looking forward to that on a storm day.

Agree about the color. Darkish pastel blue, almost indigo. I like it though. Was hoping for the kind of blue they had on the website but this is pretty good. I have a shirt this color.

As long as they're making, I'm buying. The fit and construction are excellent, the venting works wonders and the cargo pocket is as thoughful as any pocket on the market - a simple velcro closure ON TOP of the thigh (think about chairlift access and not falling sideways on your cargo). The only thing they could do to ruin it is to change something. Try them on in a store to get the sizing right - lot's of options.
