Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I replaced my original Campy cables and housing with the Yoko's and hoped to notice a difference in shifting and braking given the expense. I can't say that I noticed any improvement in performance however after just over one year of minimal use the shift housing has cracked. I noticed cracks near the rear derailleur and also at the handlebars. The original Campy cables and housings lasted over 6 years with about 20,000 miles of use.

Just bought this and after a week of solid use sport climbing there is already significant wear. I use a Mammut Smart belay device and that seems to hold the rope in one spot so perhaps that is part of the wear issue but there is already a groove and with the I-beam construction it has created a sharp/rough edge. My last belay biner was a DMM and it lasted for well over 2 years before developing a significant groove
