I have been looking for the perfect hand carry travel bag for a while now and I came across this one and The North Face Base Camp Duffel Bag. They have the same design concept, a duffel bag that can be carried as a backpack which is pretty awesome. I got the 60L in blue lagoon and it is gorgeous! In comparison with the The North Face Base Camp Duffel Bag, this is A LOT lighter. That's a good thing since when traveling, you don't want the unnecessary additional weight just from the bag alone. The material seems to be durable even if it's light. It's supposed to be water resistant but just like any other material, it can only repel so much water. So yeah, don't try to submerge it and expect for your stuff inside to be completely dry. Since I just got this bag and I haven't used it, I don't know how comfortable the straps will be on my shoulders. That's the beauty of Backcountry.com though, you get to test it and return it if you're not fully satisfied ! SO THANK YOU! Just to give y'all an illustration, i'm 5'5" and the 60L is perfect for my height. The size comparison of this bag with the The North Face Base Camp Duffel Bag would be the medium although The North Face is a bit bigger. 539 cu in difference which isn't really a lot.
