The unit works really well if you are not wearing gloves, which I normally do while skiing. Maybe my gloves are too thick but I am partial to warm hands. The unit has four buttons (volume up, down, forward, back) arranged in a circle around the central Multi Function Button (MFB) which is small [5/8" or 15.9mm] and slightly recessed. When attempting to push the MFB with thick gloves, all the buttons get pushed - the phone (iPhone 5s) responds by doing nothing. I wanted it to substitute for getting the phone out of the pocket, taking off the gloves, hoping the phone doesn't get dropped out of the lift chair.... Maybe I can modify it - glue some thickness to the MFB. I am keeping it to see if I can make it work with gloves.
BTW, I got SIRI to work by holding the MFB for two seconds.

Fit: True to size

This is an excellent sock as other reviewers have noted. What I needed was the Ultra Light version. The thickness of this sock varies - it has extra padding in the toe and heel. The Ultra Light has no extra padding and is of a consistent thickness. I wish Backcountry would describe these physical properties instead of how happy the product will make you.

Yes, this is a great helmet, but it does have a couple of warts. The fit is excellent, it is comfortable, matches my Zeal goggles well, light weight, etc. Like the other reviewers noted, the Boa knob gets loosened by my coat collar. My main complaint is when the vents are closed, it still runs a lot of air over my head to the point that I have to wear a skull cap over a balaclava to stop the brain freeze. This is at 10 degrees Fahrenheit. Having to duct tape the inside of a $200 helmet is somehow not right.

Fit: Runs large

This balaclava has a nose beak that can be pulled up over my nose while wearing goggles. Then it can be pulled down under my chin. Because of the design, going back and forth is not a problem. But when it is pulled up, heavy breathing is restricted so I had to cut an air hole. My Smith helmet leaks a lot of air so the thinner material on the top half was insufficient. BTW, do not get the white version than gets nasty looking after a few days

These are good as the other reviewers have said, but recharging could have been thought out a little better. Basically, you must remove the right earpiece from the helmet to hook up the charging wire. On my 2014 Smith Vantage helmet, access to the speaker compartment is through a tiny zipper which begins on the left side and must be worked fully open to the right - this zipper may not be up to being opened frequently. A short pigtail from the right speaker to the wire hole in the left ear pad would allow recharging without removing the speakers. I tried a short 3.5mm cable of my own but the unit disables the blue tooth because it thinks you are using the hardwired configuration for when the battery is dead. It needs a re-design. BTW, there is an undocumented way to fire up Siri by holding the left earpiece then hitting the right earpiece.

I've been using these for several ski seasons as my base layer - this is my third purchase of one. This wool is amazing in cold or hot weather. It keeps you warm and dry without overheating. Plus, it will go for several days without washing and still not get "ripe." If it does need washing, a sink, some soap, and an overnight hang is all it needs.

The knife part works OK. It is really small. Imagine my panic when I discovered the bottle opener part did not work! It takes some reshaping with jeweler's files to get to the suds.
