These are the best pants, EVER! They do fit baggy, so there is plenty of room to move around comfortably. I always freeze on the lift, and this is the first time I can say that I didn't feel the wind. Amazing!

The pockets on the front of the legs are very handy. I purchased a size medium instead of a small because I am 5'8" 130 lbs and I didn't think a 29" inseam would be long enough. While the pants are a bit big, the waist is adjustable.

Five hundred dollars is a lot to spend for a pair of ski pants, but they work, and that's what matters to me. I skied in very wet snow and 50 degree conditions a couple of days ago. I bit is pretty bad, and have a huge bruise on my leg. These pants kept me completely dry and I'm pretty sure they saved my leg from being sliced by the side of my ski due to their thickness.

I really love these gloves. I have had many pairs of gloves, but none keep me warm. I just switched over from gloves to these mitts, and I will be sticking with mitts from now on. I have very small hands (Size 4.5 ring finger). People often joke that I have child-size hands, and I bought the size 6. They are perfect.

The fleece liners are removable and very soft. The gloves aren't really bulky, either. My hands get cold very easily, so on super-cold days I wear a pair of Smartwool liners.

I live in San Diego at present, but I have run in VA. and CO. I would be willing to wear this jacket as the top layer. My only recommendation would be to wear a long-sleeve moisture-wicking layer underneath. Under Armour makes a slightly thicker long-sleeve layer with a high neckline. It almost looks like a turtleneck, but does not fold down. It works perfectly for me.

I absolutely LOVE this jacket. I ordered the jacket in a size S and I am 5'8" and 130 lbs. with an athletic frame. It fit perfectly. In fact, there is enough room underneath that one could conceivably wear more than a regular t-shirt or long-sleeve shirt underneath. The fabric is really nice and the quality is fantastic. The way the jacket is tapered, it gives you a waist so you don't look boxy.

I use this jacket as a layer for skiing on really cold days under a North Face Insulated ski jacket, for running, and for the beach/cool evenings in San Diego. When I ski, I use a moisture-wicking layer (Long-sleeve Under Armour), the Trollveggen, and then my North Face jacket. I stay toasty all day.

This really is the nicest multi-purchase jacket I have been able to find, and I always do extensive research before I purchase something. I tried on quite a few jackets at REI, but was not 100% satisfied.

Backcountry.com is awesome! They have great staff to answer your questions and the shipping is very quick. LOVE Backcountry!
