First off I love all of the Rising Lineup!! Very well built high quality products, I keep one of these in my bag or pack. If you huck meat you especially know how the point can get beat up on the bottom and rocks. Keep one handy for these times, a couple quick files and the point is ready to dance. Again you can't go wrong with Rising.

So now with the hot days beating down on us the last thing i want to do is sweat my goods off in waders. I LOVE wet wading, I got these and was stoked at first but when I put them on I was bummed. I am not known for having manly legs so I got the medium going off of the shoe size chart. I may try a small for these are loose around the leg and do not block the gravel. So if you have skinny legs like me size down. The construction is solid and they are very comfy, but again go down a size with skinny legs.

It is mid May and just lurking around the corner is the hatch of the Drakes!! I got these the other day and love the look of them! Nice color on the body, looks like they will work for both your green and tan/brown hatches. Good bushy wings to keep it riding high with nice tapered body to tail. Can't wait for June lunch breaks on the river.

I have had reels in the past claiming they were lightweight, but where this reel differs is not only is it Ultralight as it claims but the craftsmanship is perfect. Some of the reels that were claiming lightweight felt week and not as well put together, almost loose and fragile and lacking a good drag system. This reel is not only appealing to the eyes but to your feel of it as well, super super lightweight but so sturdy and strong. It can easily be switched from LHR to RHR, I love the large arbor as well it really picks up the line quickly and so smooth. And as for Hardys' drag system, where other lightweight reels fall short the DD drag system steps it up, controlled and smooth without sticking points or blowouts. If your are looking for a lightweight reel look no further this is a perfect reel for your rod.

Fish rising on the far banks, not a problem with SA sharkskin. This line absolutely rockets from your rod, the feel and control is great!! Less false casts with this WF floating line, and with the sharkskin texture it really sits high on the waters surface allowing you to easily pull 30+ feet off the water with no issues and resend it.Good casting line in close spots and really gets after it when you need some distance, make sure like any other line you clean these they can pick up dirt with the texture.

So you came across some finicky sippers and you left the 7x in your bag in the car because you only wanted to huck big dries or streamers. The thing I really like about this Tippet T is the carabiner, easy release to move to your lanyard or your backpack to the hip pack making it versatile in all situations. I have tippet in several sizes from 1x-7x so in case they are finicky sippers to the hungry hogs I have it all covered. Don't get caught wishing you hadn't left a spool or two in the car, be prepared with all sizes covered.

First off no more wet, muddy, burr filled laces!!! The BOA is so nice, slide on boot a couple quick turns and it's off to the river. Nice to just make a quick pull on the BOA knob and off they come. They are super light weight but in no way lack durability, do not hardly absorb any water and drain quickly. For those who love to fish year round know the treacherous frozen felt ice blocks you walk on in the winter, but with these being easy to switch over to the rubber or studded rubber soles eliminates the need for another pair of boots for winter only. All around great boot, you get a two for one with the interchangeable soles. All around reliable and durable boot.

I love using this on my smaller dries that may not sit as high with a liquid floatant. A quick drop in the bottle shake shake shake and your ready to sit high and dry enticing those trout to hit it. Also works great on the larger dries, i will use this first on the big dries for a quick dry and then put some floatant on to ensure the right presentation for the big ones sipping on dry. If you need them to stay dry you can't go wrong with the Shimazaki.

It is getting to be caddis time!! I love the swarms of caddis hatches that begin this time of year, this fly can be used solely nymphed or as a dropper off of a dry. The green body is bright and attractive and the head of the fly imitating a merging caddis is perfect for that window where the caddis hatch just starts to pop! If they are not rising drop it down in the deeper runs and they can't resist! A must have this time of year. I also like the barbless hook, and so will the fish.

If the fish are not sipping on some dry action then I am throwing some meat. This streamer box is perfect for your Platte Rivers, leeches, wooly buggars etc. This can hold big muppet size streamers, but is more suitable for mid-range ones. The only reason you may go with the double wide is it has more head room for your muppets if you don't want them a little snug. The slits in this box make removing and putting them back a breeze! The foam is great at not holding water and rusting out your hooks pre-maturely ending it's life span. As well as the see through design to ensure you have the right box and streamers for chasing hogs. Must have

Like all other products in the Rising lineup the quality and durability is perfect! These are sharp, the steel stays sharp and does not wear down like many other nippers out there. The textured grip makes them stay put in your fingers even when wet and slimy from fresh releases. And I like the UTAH red, GO UTES!!!

So for years I have always had the vest, and of course with all the pockets not only do you pack far too much but it gets in the way of casting and line, not to mention i found things I forgot I had when switching stuff to the hip pack. This hip pack is perfect!!! It has plenty of room for 3-4 fly boxes(depending on size) tippet, leader, nippers, floatant, hemo's, thingamabobs pretty much anything you need for those days on the water. The beverage holders have good bungee straps to keep my 24oz tall boys in place as well. This is a must have
