Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This is my second season with them, and they are warm and waterproof enough. Works well with snowshoes and crampons too.
Size 10 was too small for me, so I got my usual size 10.5. Even then the insoles were too thick and cut off circulation to my toes so I had to get some thinner replacements. Other than that I like these boots a lot.

I couldn't believe how light this thing is.
I didn't think there was any way the head and spike are steel, but they are!
I just wish the biner hole in the head was a tiny bit bigger. I also wish it came with the spike/pick/adze caps instead of having to buy them separately.

Got this when I first started climbing, and I still use it. The adjustablility is great and the padding is great. And the ATC and biner are pretty much industry standard belay stuff, so how can you go wrong?
I replaced the string on the chalk bag with a clippy strap, and that's the only thing I would change about this kit.

They fit me well when they were new, but stretched more than I expected. If I'd gotten a size smaller, I'm not sure I could have even put them on when they were new though. The red dye also kept making my feet red, even after 2 months, climbing 3 or 4 times a week.

It's light and strong, but the shape makes it somewhat unweildly to rack, since they don't nest together that well. That being said, I'd rather deal with that than use a simple angled picket. I also love that it has a "head" to hammer on now. That's a big improvement over the previous model.
