Familiarity: I've used it several times

these are fantastic. the soft shell gives a thin insulating layer. for the really drastic weather i'd recommend layering. they were fine as is for me. it wasn't too cold and i was moving fast. 6.1 215# 36 waist. i have the large. the waist and length is perfect. they are a little extra baggy. It's fine with me. others may like them a tighter fit. the extra deep pockets are a nice change from the other arc'teryx pants and bibs. built in gaiters help keep snow out. would be better if they had a clip to grab the shoelaces. the vent zip is on the back.. remember to zip it up before you sit down! They were fantastic for the last few days of freezing rain. my new favorite pants. enjoy!

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

6.1 215 pounds. i have a large and i can layer under it. this is a serious jacket. the cuffs have a rubbery gasket that has a great seal. the hood is designed with helmet use in mind. good pocket layout(expand for extra stuff). It's proshell so it's tough but still light enough so it packs well. good breathability and the pitzips help regulate heat. I usually stick with arc'teryx because of their great fit for me and of course their quality. This patagonia shell is well worth it.you won't be disappointed to own it. they roll up small enough that you can pack them and not worry about extra bulk. they take a lot of abuse and remain waterproof. great construction. easy on and off. what more can i say. they do their job perfectly. i wore them over some mid top hikers last season and stayed dry in deep snow. perfect. Used them daily at work as well as for fun. enjoy. As a disclaimer, I am affiliated with Gore for product testing of Gore-tex products for the purpose of product review and recommendation. yeah. this is an awesome shell. runs really big. so i sized down. 6.1 215 pounds and i have a medium.. but it fits perfect. it's long and still plenty of room to layer but it runs hot anyway so you don't need much. the zipper is huge and it's very stylish. i love this thing! And... it's pro shell enjoy!

these shoes are falling apart... riddled with holes... my feet are wet...they have no grip because the soles are totally worn out and starting to peel off....... after 2 years of year'round abuse. 2 years! these are undoubtably the best shoes i've ever owned. I'm sad to see them go. after trail running every season in them, countless hikes, wearing them everyday to work, and putting my feet up at the bar as I order a drink....these shoes have done it all.... and survived. I typically burn through shoes within 7 months. Not these ones (and not their sibling..the mid-tops..but thats for another time). These shoes are my favorite. nice and grippy, waterproof, and breathable enough for the murky new england july and august. Enjoy! I'm off to find another pair.

this is the jacket i reach for when the weather is rough and i'm running out the door. It's light and built right.... pit zips and waterproof. It's lived next to the door for almost a year now. i am 6.1 215 pounds and i have a large. the cut seems to be a bit slimmer than other brands but i can still layer a little. I feel the fit is perfect for me. length is perfect. If you like a longer jacket, they have other models that can accommodate. This jackets been hit by trees and bounced off rocks and it's still in one piece. Still waterproof. Enjoy!

hey there. seems like we are a similar build. I am 6.1 215 pounds. i typically wear a 36/32 pair of pants. i went with the XL regular and find them to be a comfortable fit. I am currently wearing them with a pair of cargo pants underneath as it is pouring out and i'm off for a hike.. They are a little baggier than i had hoped but it feels like if i went with the large the waist may be tight with a real pair of pants underneath. in the winter i just wear a warm layer underneath. good luck ed

I am 6.1 32 inseem 215 pounds and i have a pair of XL regular. they are a bit baggy and a tad long. Overall the fit is good. I didn't want to go with the large and not have enough room. I'd say the fit is comfortable for me. With that being said. These are just like the bibs without the extra material. I honestly wear the bibs more. I like the extra material. Like the bibs these have gaiters but lack the almost full length zipper. The one on these is good enough however. does the job. They have pockets as well where the bibs do not. Overall a great product and a nice alternative to the full bib. dry and warm as always. Enjoy!

I've been using these pants for about 3 years maybe more... i've lost track. they are the end all of weather protection. When you want to go for a hike and the weather is nasty. that's when the fun really starts. The Pro-Shell just takes what ever you throw at it. from hiking in a downpour to an amazing fresh white out. these are great. They don't have a strap for the gaiters which is true, however they do have a clip on the front to catch your boot laces and a rivet on each side so you can make your own out of some thin nylon string. The almost full length zipper down the leg is great for regulating your temperature on the hotter days. Other than that. these have been helping to keep warm and dry for years and they show no sign of letting my down any time soon. This material is top shelf. Enjoy!

I sized up on this one from my typical large arc'teryx to a XL for the extra layering. This jacket is fantastic. It's the one I grab when the weather is really nasty. From sideways freezing rain or the Nor'easter last year that took out all our trees... This has stood up to everything natures thrown it's way. I am 6.1 tall and 215 pounds. The hood is sized large enough for a helmet to fit underneath. front pockets are very spacious and the pit zips are a must! The RECCO is an added bonus just incase. I'm a big fan of this jacket. If I could only have one. This would be it. Enjoy!
