I received a Large Houdini today and was surprised at how snug the fit is. I am 5'11" 34 waist and about 185. I bought a large. Returned it for an XL because I think it will be nice to have a little room inside the shell for a thin extra layer or maybe a minimalist down vest. The weight is ideal, a full 8 ounces less than the older Marmot shell I used to carry. I bought the color Suede Brown and it is not as Brown as depicted in the photo and the zipper is a nice contrast. I am looking forward to trying on the XL and using it on an upcoming trip.

For minimalist hiking this can not be beat. The weight of the light and a couple spare coin batteries in the first aid kit is less than most light headlamps with out the batteries. I went on a 3 day trip recently. I used the red LED for most purposes at night. It was nice not to blind my friends when I looked at them and it was plenty of light to cook with. The full blast white LED light is more than enough for navigating around at night or checking the trees for bears going after the Asiago Bagels.
