Talk about a good first impression. Right after I got this jacket I was in the thick of it that was Super Storm/ Hurricane Sandy. In both the rain and the snow that it dumped on us it certainly proved its worth. Hands down my favorite thing about this jacket is the wrist gaskets...what a great addition. The fit is spot on as it is cut athletic but easy to layer underneath as the temps drop. At this point I have been through multiple Gore-tex Shells and this is my favorite so far. Its burly and is taking all the abuse I can give it. As a disclaimer I test products for the Gore company.

I really dig these shoes for runs both on and off trail but more so when i'm not on pavement. This is the second pair of Sportiva runners I have had and I came back for a reason. I really like the support I feel like I had laterally on the trail. The cushioning is just right for my liking and the distances I put in. As for the GTX liner I sometimes wonder why I go for shoes with a waterproof liner since when its raining water is certainly going to get into the shoe over the top. However, when the rain stops, I found the puddles are no match and my feet stay dry. As for the sizing I feel they are true to size, especially if you know and use the euro sizes.

Great glove for mild conditions and easy use. This glove is certainly warm for its weight and does what the fabric claims..."windstopper." I would not recommend this glove for a wet environment as it looses almost all of its insulating abilities. That aside, I use this glove a good bit around camp when temps aren't too cold. I like the dexterity I still get with this glove and the fit is nicely conforming.

I really like this glove for a few reasons. For starters, I thought the contact through the palm was great especially when used with ice tools. The warmth was great when the gloves are dry and to that extent I think the gloves dry out quickly comparatively speaking. Having said that, the GTX liner definitely keeps things a bit drier than other gloves I have in the quiver. Another nice plus for these is that little bit of extra protection on the knuckles. Fit was a little on the large size as well.

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

These gaiters are the top of the line. They are super rugged with the ability to withstand a ridiculous amount of abuse. Any time I have ever worn these I have never had any issues with things getting in my boots from mud to snow to water even. I have walked through water up to mid calf (for a short time of course) and these gaiters have kept me dry. The velcro closure on the front definitely feels super solid and I like the cam closure at the top of the calf. I like this boot for a vast array of uses. It truly is very versatile in its ability to be used in the Alpine or on tech ice, long slogs are very tolerable whether in snow or on the trail. Bear in mind that these are not like double boots where you can remove the liners and dry/warm them before putting them on. That being said, for a longer expedition (weeks) this may not be the first choice. On the other hand day long or shorter adventures in wet conditions these are still top notch. I found these to still be nice and warm even in sub zero temps as well as breathable enough to not over heat in warmer temps (up to 80). Overall, this boot is great for a variety of uses.

After using these for a while in a variety of activities I can give them a solid 5 stars for their waterproofness and breathability. I have been extremely happy with their durability and how they have held up to the abuse I have put them through.
Some of the things I would like to have had now after having these around other folks with slightly different products are either a trap door bottom or zipps that actually run through the hip to undo at the top. Some way that would allow one to drop a load comfortably in a storm or even potentially while still on a rope team. I also had the internal gaiters partially rip out. those two things aside. The fit is perfect, the little stash pockets are wonderful, The belt is great for when you want to drop the suspenders. I would definitely recommend these bibs if you want to stay dry. Full disclosure, I participate in the GoreTex MountainTechs project where I periodically receive gear to test in exchange for participation.

Ive had this jacket over a year now and put it to the test in a variety of environments. To start, the fit is spot on. I am 6' 195 and wear a large with room to layer underneath but not so roomy that I am swimming in it. There aren't a lot of "frills" on this jacket but it certainly gets the job done. The water proofness has held up really well through repeated usage and DWR still beads up and I haven't even retreated it yet. One of my favorite qualities about this jacket was that it dried out super fast when the precip stops. Rarely have I ever felt clammy in this jacket unless its pretty warm outside.
(Full disclosure: I received this jacket from Gore-Tex as a part of the MountainTechs product testing initiative in which products are received for participation.

My fugitives just fell apart...but they gave me 6 good years! I'm writing this review as I prepare to replace this boot after it carried me over 1000 miles. I have used these on just about every terrain you might expect to wear them and then some. Standing water was no issue as long as it wasn't over the top of the boot and same goes for mud and snow. The GoreTex liner keeps feet dry. My problem, as is the same no matter what boot i wear, is that my feet are always hot and sweat. I do think that this boot allows some of that moisture to escape as compared to some others I have worn.

The support was great all around. I felt nimble enough to move quick with a heavy load yet supported enough to tackle rugged terrain. I used the insoles that they came with for a few years but then opted for an after market to give a boost back to the support.

Only issue I ever had was I busted a few stitches through wear and tear on the seam where the upper and lower meet but a little shoo goo kept it going a long time.

Overall I think this is a fantastic boot and I'm about to get another pair.
