Only a color and sizing review for now...
Color: the "Wax Red" shows much differently in person than the pictures here. The actual color looks very much like it does on Patagonia - it is more of a burgundy. Here it appears a brighter red... must be the flash or something. Check the Patagonia site for actual coloring.

Sizing: I am 5'9" 200lbs - a stockier build with a 45-46" chest and 36" waist and I am between an L and an XL. In this case the XL fits me well. I also have an R1 full zip jacket and that fits well in an L. (Other references: Houdini and Cap 4 Hoody worked in XL, while Nano Puff and Down Sweater are L). Hopefully that helps others.

Purchased this and a Patagonia Houdini to compare. Feels like a higher end jacket with the velcro wrists, and opaque material - but it should for the higher prices. With that said, it might be overkill unless on sale.

It is also sized larger than the Houdini @ 5'9" and 200 lbs the Squamish is one size too large in XL, the Houdini is just about right in XL.

Familiarity: I've used it several times

Pro: Wonderful jacket. Have used it trail running, hiking, biking and kayaking. Does a great job of taking the bite out of the wind. Super lightweight and compact. And surprisingly water resistant - after salt water kayaking I rinsed it out in the shower and was able to fill the arm up with water and hold it there for without the water leaking through. I wouldn't count on it as a rain jacket, but it will meet my needs for handling light rain very well.

Con: The current models 2012-2013 are hard to fold into pocket,it can be done, but it is too hard to do while on the move. Patagonia is aware of it, but said they won't be able to make production change before 2014.

5'9" 200lbs - ordered XL and it fits with a bit of room. I am always between L and XL. I have preferred most other Patagonia gear in L but I needed to go a bit larger with this one.
