What gets me up in the morning is learning new skills & perfecting old ones... However, I always look to wisdom to guide me in this endeavor of learning, so that while i seek i also keep balance in mind; “What could I say to you that would be of value, except that perhaps you seek too much, that as a result of your seeking you cannot find.” (Herman Hesse)

Great winter boots for work/town. Not as high on the ankle or as warm as the standard caribou boots, but they are waterproof, amazingly well made (did some log hauling in these one afternoon for lack of other boots, and they were great - didn't scratch and no seams got frayed), and warm enough for tramping through snowy streets to and from work, restaurant, car and home. Soles are plenty grippy on various surfaces (yes, even ice), the leather is supple, the lacing system is simple, sturdy and boldly handsome, and the midsole is very comfortable. Photos don't show it, but the lining is a classy gingham plaid.

Leave your mark from peak to park while on the Burton Women’s Lip-Stick Snowboard. Burton has enhanced this already hot board with its spring-loaded Flying V profile, which blends rocker playfulness and float with subtle cambered zones under your feet for crispy snap, extra pop, and rush-inducing power through your turns.
