Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Not the lightest set of poles but they have some good features that I like. I had the earlier model and bent both of them in a fall but liked the that they pack down so small so I purchased another pair. For touring I also like that the baskets are big but with a cut out which is more comfortable against the snow. The strap design is also nicer than most being that it is a tad easier to insert a gloved hand that a strap that is one piece that goes in a loop with both ends at the handle. I was previously using poles that screw lock to adjust the length and they kept collapsing on me unintentionally which drove me crazy. The only peeve I have is that the cool basket design swivels around from the pole twisting (not the basket) - maybe tightening of the set up will rectify this. I used the earlier model extensively but this newer one just once. I don't see any major design differences between the 2 - maybe these newer ones are a little heavier.

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Fit: True to size

I have some other Icebreaker boy leg underwear that I like but I like this style even better. I have some other cotton boy leg hipsters that I don't even want to wear anymore now after purchasing these undies. So much so, that I probably have bought 10 pairs to add to my other icebreaker underwear. These are the ones I gravitate towards when I open my underwear drawer and one of the best features about them is that they don't show a panty line. I am 5'10" and 130 lbs and the M fits me nicely (icebreaker sizing not 100% accurate though).

I bought these after reading lots of positive reviews but as soon as I tried them on I knew they were not for me. Cute but the underwear has a definite panty line which I am not a fan of. I prefer the Icebreaker Sprite hot pant which does not show a panty line and are very comfortable. If this is your style of undies then they seem well made and you'll probably be happy with them.

The shorter zip doesn't worry me but the zipper disengages pretty easily and is a little annoying to engage it again when you're in the dark or half asleep. It may be to prevent ripping the bag. I tend to run cold so for me I need to wear a few layers to be warm at the temp rating listed. I mainly bought this bag for it lightness and compactness - it certainly does pack down small.

I have used this glove for just a few weeks and after the first use, the glove was already pilling badly. OK, I thought, just cosmetic but now there is a hole on the top side of one of the thumbs (don't even know how it got there). These gloves are just not going to last the distance and I cannot recommend these in any way shape or form. I use them as a liner underneath my shell mittens but I think they will have to be retired to the sidelines as a back up pair.
