Familiarity: I've used it several times

Was about to buy tried and true XT or XTR on my new HD3 but took a chance on the Guide RSC based on reviews here and elsewhere. Was hoping that SRAM had turned things around. Without question they have (at least so far after one month of use). Very pleased so far. Great modulation and stopping power. No howling or squeaking. Easy single finger use. Would definitely buy again/recommend.

So smooth and the feel and ease the lever is better in my opinion than the KS. Had a KS LEV beofre this and wanted to get an internally routed dropper for my next post, but read many bad reviews about the LEV Integra, so went with Thompson. Have ridden it only for one month at this point, so will update if any problems, but so far I am very pleased.

Went from a 2009 Mojo standard issue to the HD3. Couldn't be happier.

I'm 5'11" and bought the Large with CC DB Inline. Very smooth and confidence-inspiring on descents and nothing lost from my '09 Mojo on the climbs (though my 26" mojo was 3 lbs lighter). The 41 mm Ibis rims and 650 lb wheel size coupled with tire pressure at 20 psi has allowed me to climb technical sections more easliy despite the 3 lbs extra weight. I deliberated on buying the HD3 for about 3 months and have no regrets.

Also, I worked with Jake Popek who was incredibly knowledgeable and walked me through the ordering process and kept me up to date during the build and shipping period. Look forward to working with Jake for all future purchases at CC/BC. Thanks Jake!

Am I correct in reading that the only difference between the Mountain and the Performance is a very slight weight difference, stiffness of the shell (tongues?) and liner difference? If this is the case, can anyone tell me what difference I should expect to notice between the CR and CL liners? Thanks in advance for any and all answers.

I am trying to convince my loving wife that skiing is the answer. She has come a long way since we started dating and now skis front side blues well at Squaw and has had no trouble with frontside blacks at places like Northstar. She had a pair of 2013 Kenjas and skied them for 3 days before leaving them out overnight on the ski rack at the base of Squaw (communication breakdown on who was grabbing the gear...) and low and behold they were gone, never to be heard of again. I am trying to replace them and now am considering the Yumi, Kenja or Aura. I want her to have a ski that is easy to ski 90% on groomed but will make her love skiing and start to venture off groomed as well. Appreciate any recs. Thanks guys/gals. Love the site.
