how much does it weigh?
My current well worn soon needing to be replaced convertible pants are Mountain Hardware from many years ago so I was hoping to find a new pair of this brand that fit as well but so far no luck. These pants sit below the bellybutton and are more boot cut (wider at the ankles) than I would have guessed from the picture. My main problem with the pants is that they are too tight in the thigh. However all the convertible pants I've tried so far have been either too tight in the thigh or too big in the waist - why can't they make pants for normal waist-ed women with muscular thighs? For me the Ramesa pants fit better overall (waist sits at belly button, not so wide at ankles) and the pants with a little bit of stretch fit ok over the thighs except that the zippers don't have the same stretch & do not give allowance for the stretch so greatly restrict my freedom of movement.
I found the pants tight around my thighs and the zippers tight around my lower legs. The dark khaki was slightly more yellow than I expected from the picture. They stretch nicely and seem like they would be comfy if they fit you ok but I returned mine.
These pants seem like they would be great if they fit you - nice material & features. For me the waist was way too big (even with the partial elastic) while the zippers barely fit around my thighs. Unfortunately this is a common problem for me with many pants so they probably fit others just fine. Anyone else with this problem that has found great fitting pants please share!
I ended up returning this jacket in favor of the North Face Venture jacket so I can't comment on it's waterproofness. I see this model now has the hood adjustment on the outside which I think is much easier to work with but it still doesn't have any adjustment on the back of the hood to keep it from falling over my eyes. I like the extra chest pocket which the Venture doesn't have. The Venture had the extra hood adjustment and seemed like it would be less clammy feeling on the inside.
I have an older version of this shirt and like it enough that I bought this one when I saw it on sale. However the color (wheatgrass) was very different than showed on my screen so I ended up returning it.
I liked the neckline and lightweight fabric. I really liked the wisteria/dewberry color but there was no indication on the website that there is a slash of a different shade across the back of the shirt (in this case a darker brighter pink) which I was not a fan of. Also not real happy with the cut of the sleeves - no freedom of movement without shifting the whole shirt. The shirt is a little bit on the longer side although personally I don't have a problem with that.
Is it possible to get replacement shoulder straps for a Kelty external pack?
Think this shirt would be tight across the chest for many women, not very contoured. But otherwise seems to work well - good wicking and quick drying.
Very breathable and comfy. I wear them for backpacking and have gotten far fewer blisters than I used to with my heavier hiking boots.
I wear these while camping - both for sleeping and under my hiking pants during the day when it's cold and they've been great. I've also used them for cross-country skiing under waterproof outerwear. Very breathable and no lumpy seams.
How highwaisted are these? Do they go above your belly button?
I just bought this shirt and was very shocked by the color. I ordered the burgundy (technically chianti) color but it was much brighter and more red than it shows on the computer which was disappointing to me. However it seems very comfortable and the perfect weight to be able to wear alone, over another shirt, or under another shirt. The sleeves are on the long side (which I actually prefer).
