I've been using this tent for 2 years for my hunting trips and I love this tent. Absolutely whips the pants off a bivy sack and weighs the same or less than premium bivys. I am 6'6" and if I grew an inch it would be to small, but if it fits me, it fits 98% of you out there. Great convenience of a tent with a spot for your boots and pack under the small vestibule.

Excellent ventilation, but in humid areas condensation can be an issue if you do not leave the fly door open slightly at the top. Luckily it has duel zippers to make it easy to use to leave the fly cracked at the top like a vent.

Only complaint would be the tent body should attach to the poles the same way on the long pole as it does by the door. With the loops used on the main body, it makes it impossible to setup in the rain without getting some rain inside the tent. Luckily it goes up quick, and in the mountatins you can usually wait out the rain for a break anyhow.

I'd recommend this tent in a heartbeat.

Does this bag need another 5-Star Review? Oh Well, I'll give it one. Been using this bag for 3 years with no complaints. Always warm, usually too warm for me even in 20-25 external temps I get more in my tent with this bag. Marmot seems to be the most conservative in their bag temp ratings of all manufacturers. And at this bags weight paired with a light pad like a NeoAir or a Z-Lite, your looking at a sleep system in the ball park of 3 - 3.5 lbs... You can't do it lighter.

Good Budget Tent

I have the older, original Gunnison 2. It does the trick and is definitely roomy but you pay for it in weight. Very good for what it was intended for, but the weight conscious packers will look to lighter options.

The 2 vestibules and doors are a great convenience... as well as the high vent on the fly, which I miss on my Ultralight Solo Tent.
