Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Fit: True to size
This was my first season riding through the winter and these were my first shoe covers. They worked ok to about 40. My toes were never toasty but they weren't frostbitten either. Once the temps dropped under 30 they were really miserable. I took to riding wearing my warmest pair of smartwool snowboarding socks and jamming toe warmers between my shoe and covers. However even with this setup my toes froze. Toward the end of the winter they just got worse and worse as the neoprene compressed to almost nothing. Riding in 45 degrees last week they got wet going through a puddle and within 15 min I could no longer feel my toes. To top it all off one of the zippers somehow got a kink in it and will not zipper straight. Being my first pair of covers I have nothing to compare them to. I hope that everyone else's 5 star reviews is not indicative of what I will find with my next pair of covers.
