Fit: Runs small
Height: 5' 8"
Weight: 155 lbs
Size Purchased: 31/30

Patagonia finally does denim right.
Size: Think levis 511. Order the same size and these are fairly close, a hair tighter in the waist, seat and thigh. Waist sits at the same height as a 511 but rise seems shorter so no baggie crotch (a great thing). Thus, 30" Inseam is about 1/2" shorter than the 511s. Perfect for me. Great mechanical stretch. I wear these fairly slim but sitting down is very comfortable in the office.

Yet to wash these, not sure how much they'll fade. Color is a great blue indigo, not black or near black as many.

Fabric is perfect - on the lighter side of denim so instantly comfortable but rugged enough.

Great jeans and nice to have an eco option compared to the standard denim industry. You have to try em on obviously but worth ordering and worth the try.

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Fit: True to size
Height: 5' 8"
Weight: 155 lbs
Size Purchased: Medium

Great for warm weather running/fitness. Fit is a bit trimmer than most Patagonia. I'm 5.8, 155 and wear a 38 suit coat. Most items in Patagonia I wear a small (even in most trim fits) but Medium fits perfectly. Not baggie, still trim but no chafing on the chest.

Fabric is thin, light and vents well but snags. After 3 runs, already have a few snags on the front and side.

Otherwise would be 5 stars.

I'm on my 3rd pair of these, the first two were sent back to TNF for replacement. 1st gen fabric (2012ish) was great, but didn't last 10 runs. 2nd pair had seems coming undone. Waited over 2 months for their warranty dept to basically conclude they couldn't repair and sent me a new pair. New fabrics in this generation - burlier and heavier but still nice to the touch. The seams on the 2015 shorts look like they were sewn by rookies. I don't think I've seen this poor quality in a premium product. Hopefully this is a one off but then you wonder about the QC at their factory. You can get better sewing on the shorts at Target.

That being said, these continue to be the best fitting, most comfortable running shorts I've ever worn. From 5ks to trail runs to marathons. The liner is cut perfectly, the waistband doesn't chafe or rub, the length is perfect. I wear 31 waist dress pants and the smalls fit perfectly.

I just wish their products and the longevity were at the same level as their ad campaigns and marketing hype. Comfort = 5 stars. Durability and Warranty process = 1.5 stars.
