I needed a long down coat to keep my lower half warmer but didn't want to look like the the StayPuff marshmallow guy. This coat looks to have a very nice silhouette but my standard size of Medium was pretty baggy on me. It was very thin, I know that the higher down fill, the lighter it gets, but the coat did feel flimsy. I don't really have a lot to compare to so this could just be an uninformed opinion. I ended up sending the coat back as they didn't have any small sizes remaining, unfortunately, as I had high hopes for the funky collar and asymmetrical zipper.
I just got back from a four-day canoe trip in the North Cascade mountains and brought along my Pocket 200 beanie "just in case". The weather turned out to be a bit cooler than expected so my beanie got a lot of use. My favorite thing about this beanie was that while it was super warm and cozy, it wasn't constrictive. I end up going with a cold head a lot of time because certain beanies are too tight on my head and cause pressure headaches. This beanie was so comfortable, I actually forgot that I was wearing it! Super lightweight, warm, and it packed up very small which was great for shoving in a pocket when not needed.
I only gave 4 stars since the stitching is coming out already around the brim with just a couple wears and no wash but that's something that I can easily fix at some point.
How easy is it to take these saddles off and add a different mount, say for a bike or snowboard? I've been told to watch out for mounts that you have to basically uninstall the entire set up to switch for a different mount. I have the Whispbar on a Mazda 3s.
These are warm, I have small hands and received the men's small and they fit pretty close to perfect. I can wear my Mt. Hardwear liners and the mittens on super cold days with no problem/loss of dexterity. On most days, just the mitten is good enough for me and I am ALWAYS cold.
They are puffy... but as a friend says, it's like reaching up and catching a cloud. Soft, puffy and warm. I'm all about low profile and slim fit stuff but I like these mittens. I have no problem adjusting my bindings with these on.
I have probably worn them 5 times this season and the man wore them once. They've held up pretty well. No problem with getting soaking wet. I didn't have a removable liner that I could tell.
