The quality is amazing. These pants are killer for keeping you dry, ventilating BIG TIME (excellent for touring!) esp. since the bib does not extend too high on the chest. The gaiters are perfect.
The highlight: the full side leg zips extend to the wait/chest (secured by 2 snap closures at the top) and allow for a quick pee in the trees. Amazing. This is the best! So so great. I have never enjoyed going to the ladies room more since it's actually easy in a bib.

Complaints: the pockets on the chest are smaller than they used to be (around 5 years ago).
The size small looks super cute (perfect for skiing in-resort. my bum looks cute and they are slim-profile/look reasonable) BUT are kind of tight in the hips for more active pursuits (like touring or ice climbing). I can only wear one heavyweight icebreaker wool layer long underwear underneath.
I tried the M and they were billowy and huge and ridiculous. My bum looked awful (but allow for ample movement!).
Too bad there isn't a size in between.

I am looking for something more comfortable for my very cold and more intense trips (roomy and attractive). Might try Mammut...

I have the seth morrison Hestra glove/mitts... I loved them until my hands would be damp and cold. Then I'd put my hands in my husband's guide gloves (much less attractive for a girl, imho) and they'd feel amazing and wooly and warm.
I finally bought these this year and haven't looked back.
These don't match my pink jacket as nicely but my hands are so so happy.

* The wool liner stays warm when wet
* The wool liner comes out to dry and dries fairly fast
* The wool liner is well-secured with lots of velcro detailing.
* The length is fine- not too short but not clunky and annoying.
* The loop and small carabiner on the side keep them together or you can clip to your pack when hiking/touring and your hands overheat!
* Leather softens up fast
* Pack up so small & work great as a second pair in my ski backpack
* Fast on/off
* Held up in both wet snow & fine 3 m deep powder.

Could improve them with Hestra handcuffs but those can be ordered separately from Hestra directly and sewn in (which is what I did).

SUPER LOVE.

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Super comfy. Dry fast.
Handwashed these babies on a ski trip and they were the fastest to dry. I preferred the bikini style on the front of the thigh - more comfortable vs the hipkini. The sizing runs just a little big- they seemed to kind of stretch out.
Also the biggest tag ever. Gigantic. Not a big deal since I cut it off but just kind of weird.
I didn't have any quality issues as I've been washing them by hand and hang-to-dry. Have worn them many times skiing and touring without a problem.

These are my 1st pair of skins. I really like the clip system they use and haven't had any issues with them coming loose. I find they glide nicely and are grippy although I haven't skinned up anything crazy steep or icy. No problems. Light. Sticky glue. Happy.
