Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Fit: Runs small
Height: 5' 8"
Weight: 170 lbs
Size Purchased: Large

the material and the color are really nice. i really like the shirt. I am normally in-between a medium and a large. i ordered a large; its a little on the snug side. i could have gotten away with ordering an extra large. other that the snug fit, it is a really nice shirt.

Fit: True to size
Height: 5' 8"

The shirt is a true large. i wear between a medium and a large; the shirt is on the loose side for me. a medium probably would have been better. i am 5'8'' and 170 pounds. the collar is a little too big; i have a 16.5 inch neck. the color looks great and the material and the quality seem good, except for the collar which gives the impression that it will stretch out easily making the collar even larger.

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This water proofing product is alright. I followed the directions precisely, however the results were not what I was hoping for. This would be a good product for walking to the car or to the coffee shop on a rainy day, but if you need serious waterproofing protection for hiking/backpacking/trekking/orienteering? I would seriously go with another product such as a sno-seal like product.

I used this particular Nikwax product through austere and harsh environments (terrain, vegetation and weather)and by the end of one day all benefits of this product were gone around the front of the boot. However, around the rest of the boot (in low wear areas) the boots remained treated for about a week.

These skis are heavy and sturdy like an old school Cadillac. The skis are extremely stable at higher speed and absorb chatter and vibrations. Like the video below says, these skis will hold an edge on the iciest of slopes. They are also very stiff and rigid and want to be skied aggressively. I would definitely reserve these skis for advanced-intermediate to expert skiers.

These socks are absolutely amazing! I wear them for trekking and backpacking when I intend on going the distance through rough terrain. These socks keep my feet free from blisters and hot spots. They keep my feet dry and ready to take on another 20 miles the very next day. I absolutely love them. they are not as thick as typical hiking and backpacking sock, which I like. Their thickness is like a cross between a running sock and a hiking sock. For roaming the outdoors, these socks are second to none.

I like the material the thickness and the weight. The pants breath well and are highly water resistant. I am 5'8'' 165 and I have a 32 inch waist. I got the mediums and the waist was BIG. Id say around a 35-36 and I am not a fan of the gym-short type draw-string. Fortunately they fit over my ski boots, but i can see how that can cause an issue for some ski boots. Id go with another pair of pants.

I use this jacket for backpacking and running in cooler and windy climates (20- 40 F) The jacket is extremely versatile and dries extremely fast. The jacket is extremely comfortable and breathes really well. i am 5' 8'' and 165 lbs, the medium fits perfect. i usually wear a synthetic t-shirt to a silk weight top on underneath depending on the temperature. If i get cool in the lower temperatures, its not too bad, i just move a little faster. the only down side that I have experienced, it is not very water resistant.

At first i wasn't sure this jacket was what i was looking for, but after putting it to the test, it has become one of my most used jackets. Initially it felt a little snug (5'8'' 165 lbs Medium), but after wearing it i got accustomed to the athletic fit. I use this jacket to jog on non windy days. The wind will cut right through this jacket. This jacket is also great to layer underneath my Marmot Elementalist Softshell Jacket. Depending on your output, this jacket can keep you warm from 15 degrees (when layered underneath), to around 40 degrees. Oh, and the jacket looks great!

Big Agnes Air Core Sleeping pads keep you cozy to the core! These are the most comfortable sleeping pads that I have tried! There amazing. They are compact and light! They keep you insulated from the ground and liberated from rocks, pebbles and sticks. I use mine quite frequently in the desert, and it has never failed me. I have used it up in the mountains in below freezing temperatures and it has kept me warm along with my Mountain Hardware Phantom sleeping bag. My only dissatisfaction is after a full days hike; though not time consuming, if feels like a chore to inflate the pad. The inflation process really isnt bad, moreover the benefits of these pads far outweighs any cons.

The MSR MiniWorks is an effective filter that will turn sludge into unsoiled drinking water. I have used it on several occasions where I was quite skeptical. However, the MiniWorks proved faultless and provided me with crisp, clean H2O.
The only issue that I initially had with the MiniWorks was slow filtration and difficulty pumping. This was resolved by cleaning and scrubbing the ceramic filter. Initially I was afraid of wearing the filter out too fast. But, after a coarse scrubbing, just to remove a thin layer, the filter worked flawlessly.
