Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
This pack is pretty sweet, but Arcteryx totally missed an opportunity to make the pack great. The side pockets to hold beverages may be the worst design I have ever seen on a backpack. There is no way to hold any bottles securely in the side pockets they are WAY too small--they have no depth. If you plan on using the bladder capability of the bag, then this may not bother you, but for me, using the bladder is not going to be something I will do regularly. Be prepared to have your bottles fall out of the side pockets often, even the tie straps are not overly helpful securing bottles in the pockets. One thing I really like about this bag is that it is available in a tall size model. I am 6'5" and the tall edition of this pack fits me great, maybe the best of any pack I have had. Worth a look, but be aware of the poor design of the side pockets and their ability to secure your bottles.
